Valentines Day 2016

Happy (very belated at this point) Valentines Day!

We must admit that we may or may not have forgotten about Vaentines Day until the day before Valentines Day this year….

Let’s just say we have had a very FULL plate lately!IMG_0753

Never fear, as soon as we realized it we threw on our best reds and socked up on chocolate Valentines!

(Lola also got a package in the mail that doubled as a birthday/valentine gift from Aunt Lia and Uncle Nick, she was SO excited about her new purse shown below!)IMG_0746

IMG_0748Her Outift was a Christmas one from Aunt Diane but it doubled as a Valentine outift and we just LOVE when that happens!

The next morning it was officially Valentines day and daddy Lou was the first one up and at em’ (as usual- Lola and I needed our beauty rest)! We were so excited to come down to find Daddy Lou had made us heart shaped pancakes!

Oh how I have waited for silly little things like this to share with my girl!

This is turning into being a shout out bog post but I am just realizing how many sweet things are from all these loies who spoil our girl! LOL

Thankfully Gigi sent us some cute Valentine jammies since this mama was not “with it” this year to have all of that under control!IMG_0762IMG_0764

We did share some sweet sugar after breakfast though, I love how I get all the credit for daddy Lou’s hard work! LolIMG_0771

We were’t sure how the weather was going to hold up for the rest of the day so after breakfast we headed to the park to stal some of that sweet sunshine!

I think probably the funnniest thing we have ever witnessed Milly do occured right after we got there… and you know Milly is quite the character…

Girlfriend saw Lola and I go down the slide and decided for whatever reason it was her only way down so she did it to!

YES, REALLY!

Thankful I still had my Lou Vlentine and our two girls to enjoy this goodness with!

We kind of somehow adapted a new “thing” abotu not going out to eat for Valentines day dinner ebcause the food is always so bad and “pre-cooked” but there was nothing stopping us from a little Mexican lunch date!IMG_0834

They even gave us girls flowers!IMG_0836IMG_0843

We brought Lola back to put her down fo her nap and our little outing must have been just what I needed because although I had said I wasn’t going to decorate for Valentines day this year (since I had JUST taken down Lolas birthday decoraions) I ended up caving and doing a bit anyway!

Disclaimer: Only in the dining room!

It was worth it, sister was so excited when she woke up and saw the hearts everywhere!IMG_0857IMG_0872IMG_0877IMG_0882IMG_0885

…and it’s just not Valentines Day (or any holiday for that matter) without cookies!!

Lola knew just what to do and was ready to cut out the heart shapes before we had even rolled out the dough!IMG_0894IMG_0897

I will give you one guess who the taste tester was and sprinler shaker…

Hint: It was the same person.IMG_0910

Wa-laa! Just in time for dinner!IMG_0925

Valentines Day will always be special to us since it was our first holiday with the girl home!

We celebrated at just 4 days old and now to think this is her 3rd is just enough to ruin the holiday so let’s move right along without acknowedging that!
