Will it ever slow down?

Hopefully not!! Between my new job, which comes hand in hand with 35 online orientation hours :/ and all of our company I have no time to document our Chaos!

I love it!

I can honestly say though company is probably one of the things Alex and I share a love of the most! We could NEVER turn it away….. and never would!

So where did I leave off?

Oh yes company, Tara, Mom and Dad all came for a last minute Fathers Day celebration and Tucker and Milly had company of their own….. Grama Chelsea (Andy and Rachels dog)

DSC08990

Then it was time to celebrate this big guy….

DSC08995

Fathers Day was full of food, family, more food and a night watching the Braves WIN!!

By the way all of this (below) was followed by more food!      DSC08996

Tara was in this one (below) but her eyes were CLOSED so she got the boot!DSC08997

It always takes a while for us to all get it together….

DSC08999DSC08998

By the time we did, Tara got aggregated with the pictures and made this the last one… DSC09000

As you can see we did need more time/a duplicate of this because daddy’s eyes are closed and Lou isn’t looking…..

No more listening to Tara!

Speaking of which….

these two could not be more different or alike.

 DSC09003

Then you have these two trying to find our seats…. God Help.

DSC09008

That didn’t work so well so we sat in the first seats we found….

(and I do not think they were the 7$ seats we paid for)DSC09030 The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and you know that was the MAIN concern right…. because we DON’T do hot and daddy and Alex know to run for their life if and when the situation presents itself.

DSC09024

Wave time……

not to be confused with the tomahawk chop.  DSC09018     DSC09038 DSC09047

Happy Fathers Day daddy, “Braves Win” DSC09061

Like I said, all followed by more food.

Peach cobbler (Tara, I will still make my blueberry cobbler)

Crab Legs, corn on the cobb , sausage and garlic bread.

YUM!

DSC09143

Tuckers most favorite spot to lay in the whole house is in the middle of the kitchen.

(If I wanted to tell you the whole truth I would have to say that actually his favorite spot is always right by me, wherever that may be and it always happen to be in the kitchen)

But you don’t need to know that much. ;)

DSC09150

We spent most of the weekend here……

(Dad loves to use his best profanity at the dinner table)

DSC09082

(…. actually our whole family just has bad table etiquette.)

DSC09087

DSC09099 DSC09108

(Confirm. Confirm. Confirm.)

We actually spent most of our family time together at the kitchen table and by the pool. Which can be one of the worst/scariest combinations out there…

IMG00142-20100620-1637  DSC02433   Who wants another Tucker and Milly Story? Of course you do!

Everyone loves Tucker and Milly stories and they are always up to something….

Wonder where they get it from?

DSC09205

This is how it starts…

Note: Yes I am blaming my children’s bad behavior on my mother :)

Mom loves to fill her suitcase with as many “babies” and bones as possible when she comes to visit but sometimes Milly goes into over drive and she can’t handle the excitement… aka she get’s psycho.

Here it is….

Simple picture is what you are thinking right? No, only to an ignorant untrained/normal by stander does this setting come across as innocent…. DSC09207

Nope. You have been fooled by her neck rolls. There is def a bone under there and that was Tucker’s way of “fighting” for it. DSC09208He lays there and crys and stares… guilt trip much?

She doesn’t care. She doesn’t even chew it most of the time, she just holds on to it so Tucker can’t get it.

  “Ok Milly back in position”DSC09210

Well hidden.

All weekend she spent running (literally) back and forth between her baby and her bones (she would make her decision based off which one he wanted at that moment….. and then would pick IT……..bitch)

DSC09142DSC09133  You can only taunt her so long…DSC09135 DSC09137Never the less….. We love that mutt!

DSC09123

I am so excited about our weekend coming up, we have no plans until Sunday!!! Perfect!!

So hopefully lots of dates and pool time can fit in to those empty slots nicely.

Then on Sunday Laura and Tara are coming up for a Rascall Flatts concert with a bunch of friends!

This trip will also constitute as Laura’s early birthday trip to see me! Her birthday is Tuesday but I am taking off Monday to spend with her as we go HOUSE HUNTING before she heads home! She will be moving to Atlanta in less than a month from now!

I can’t believe it/ can’t freakin’ wait!!

(posted the blog a bit quick and forgot to say exactly why there is a picture of this cutie (below) is in here)

Apologies. :)

I wanted to mention, mom and dad left us to go visit grams in Biloxi for the week and I received this picture last night so I wanted to share it! I swear the woman doesn’t age!!

grams

Love ya grams!

-------------------------------

A few other projects/ recipes were attempted this weekend as well.  However I am pooped and this blog is long enough!

So as Ana says “Maybe tomorrow”.

FYI: I finally got my comment tool box fixed, please make one so the thing on the right of my page will update bc those comments are MONTHS old :)

Have a great day!

A pool kind of weekend….

It’s hot. Really hot. The only thing that keeps me sane, outside of being in the air conditioner, is the being in the pool.

So I have been. We all have been, float at hand! lou pool

I was a lucky girl this weekend because my company continued….

JJ and Corey came to visit us!!

jj pool

(yes, that is my beloved float in the background)

I think I should consider our guest room/Alex’s office/workout room a hostel… where people pass through and spend time with us as they stay….. We love it!

Autumn and I got lost in time at the pool Saturday (1-7) while lou went with the boys to a 35$ “beer connoisseur festival” to watch the world cup…. I told him before going that he would never drink 35$ worth of beer to get his money’s worth but to HAVE FUN trying :)

As I expected he didn’t, 3 beers down (that he hated the taste of) and he was done trying…. he said they were “real” beers… Lou is a bud light guy, no fancy stuff and even at that he is done after 3 or 4 beers anyway….

Jessica and Corey came over so we could get ready together (and Corey was EXSTATIC to get a nap in after they spent all day in the heat watching the world cup at the sweat sweetwater festival…EW)DSC08959

Sunday was the best of both worlds if I had to pick any two… Pool and Mexican food afterward (yes, must only come after or I would not enjoy the “stretchy pants” miserable feeling as much) also both of those with friends is a given in those worlds :)

Anyway, it was an amazing/way to fast weekend that I waited way to long for in order to try and get some time in with Lou… and now it’s over…. already! We did get some good sleeping-in time though!

Which was quite the opposite of this morning….. which had the babies a bit “shaken/confused/pissed tired and pathetic looking.

DSC08966

Yes the picture above was taken at 6:30 am……

Why the sudden change in “sleeping in all day habits”?

Well, I had orientation this morning for my new job that I will be starting tomorrow…

(Yes, this is the “summer”  job I interviewed for and was accepted to all before May 12th and yes this is a current blog- June 14th)

Slow process.

Nevertheless I am now in!!

Title: Community Social Services Tech (AND anything else they may ask me to do)

The “anything else” part has apparently already started, I have been notified by a co-worker that we are short staffed so tomorrow on my first day I may be leading groups from 9-2 while the residents are there, even though that is not in my job description. :)

Oh well, if social work has taught me one thing it’s that

“the only thing constant is change”

and if you want a job, go with it the change!

I like doing groups anyway but I always get nervous with new members…. they can be so good at “playing” you/me.

One thing is certain, mornings sure will look different around this house!!

DSC08964

….and we may not all be “thrilled”

DSC08961

……or even acknowledging it!

It’s here though, the lazy summer days are over!

June is here!!

…. and I have not been here in blog world! I know, I know! But I was too busy playing with all of my company and enjoying the weather we have had during my time off!

No worries,I’m back, so on with the blog!

Aren’t these just gorgeous!!??!!

 DSC08858

Mom and dad came to visit and brought these yummy looking hydrangeas to me that they grew in their yard! They have always had high expectations for their yard each summer but end up traveling way to much to keep up with it! This year they are doing much better and getting some pretty things out of it!!

DSC08850

I love reaping those benefits!

Ohh and these benefits too, thank YOU farmers, for inventing the SEEDLESS Watermelon!!

 DSC08760

I have been on quite a fruit binge lately! I can’t get enough of it!! I come home and cut it all up so it can get good and cold!

To die for!!

DSC08767    No worries all my healthy fruit has been canceled out with a few deadly cravings I have wanted to test out in the kitchen recently…

My first one was Spinach Alfredo Lasagna… Sooo good!

I kind of made up my own way because I could NOT find a recipe that had exactly what I wanted in it…

DSC08825

Alfredo, spinach and Ricotta cheese.DSC08828

I believe I did 3 layers and baked it all together for 45 minutes at 350. Try it, it’s soooo good!

DSC08835

Oh yeah and I threw some shredded cheese on top at the end :)

DSC08845

My second one was a Chocolate Crumb Cheese Cake bar that I found on the Pioneer Woman’s website, Click here for recipe!

Rachel and I LITERALLY left the pool to go make these Sunday!

DSC08807

…..This was the yummy crust! It taste just like a cookie!

DSC08809

Make the filling….

DSC08814

and it’s done!!

DSC08823

2 tips: Make extra of the crust because we barely had enough to cover the top.

Also, if you don’t like the taste of coffee DO NOT PUT IT IN AT ALL, the whole thing will taste like coffee if you do (I may sub peanut butter instead next time)

- For this reason Rachel and I both hated it!

DSC08840

However my company loved it and “accidently dropped” a lot of it on the “floor” too!!

Speaking of my company this week…. Laura also came to visit us!

DSC08936

Ohh how I miss my Miss Laura time!

This is so “ew” of me but it’s her favorite kind of pic!

DSC08938

It was a short trip but Laura was able to meet my MSW girlies, Ali and Shannon at Ali’s softball game and we found the perfect new STARBUCKS location for Laura to MOVE to!!

It happens to be less than a mile from Lou’s work, perfect! Her plan is to be here at the end of July but I will keep you all updated weekly seeing as that’s how often Laura’s life decisions have changed lately ;) Love you Laura!

-----------------

Have I gone a whole blog and not mentioned THE babies?

No worries, I can put a stop to that right now!

As for Milly, she “saved” a yummy jar of peanut butter right before it went to the trash this week….

DSC08912

     Check out this position.DSC08884 DSC08891 DSC08905 DSC08906 DSC08908

“All done mama” and this is when the fun starts for me….

They lick their lips for forever after they take the last lick of peanut butter… it’s hilarious!!

DSC08886

Tucker knows better than to get between Milly and food items that are not large enough for two snouts but he was the happiest baby in the world when I brought home a new duster from Ikea!

DSC08926

Who knew?!?!

Besides that it was the usual for them…. Sleeping, Sleeping and more sleeping!

DSC08801

Lou decided Mill’s sleeping schedule should be monitored…. DSC08806

(notice her watch) haha poor girl!

I have to share this note on sleeping though: sleeping is all they want to do UNTIL Lou calls a certain little girl to bed….

Mom and I stayed up until about 3 am each night she was here and the pups liked to stay out in the den with us…. So when Lou would call Milly to bed as my replacement to cuddle him she panicked!!

She would instantly run over to me and beg to get on the couch with me, refusing to look anywhere near the direction his voice was coming from!  I found it to be similar to her pooping strategy, if she can’t see you- you can’t see her….. right Mill!

image

It’s almost the weekend again and I have big plans…. I bought knobs and more “ebony” oil to fix up a unfinished chest of drawers (still feels weird saying it the “right way”)! Very excitable! :)

Happy June ya’ll!     DSC08855
