Honey, We’re Home!!

Well after 2 months of being “off” with my only obligation being a simple 20 hour a week job, to spending last week laying on the Mayan Riviera drinking Bahama Mama’s and Pina Coladas all day made today quite a switch of pace ( to say the least) and one that I could never be ready for……BUT I did it!!

Finished my first 13 hour day!!

Whew…. and I managed to squeeze my own therapy session in at work today :) (the beauty/perks of working with all counselors and life coaches) and decided not to put my head down and get through to May but to simply take one day at a time.

Sounds easier than it may be I know but we will see how it goes and even though I’m scared I am really excited…

I promise to post about Mexico as soon as I can but just know we had a LOT of fun, Tucker and Milly were well taken care of and I have MANY pictures to share!

Quick side note before ending….. Guess what this FRIDAY is!!!???!!! YUP, our REAL anniversary or “Oh, one of our other anniversaries” as Lou likes to call it!

So Jack Johnson on Friday to celebrate 11 years of a whole lot of lovin’!!

Wow…

I can’t believe this much is going on right now (enough to where I haven’t even touched my camera or blogged in over a week) and yet Tuesday I add a 3 day a week internship at Grady Hospital to the mix and 2 full days of classes to top it all off.

Nervous Breakdown, bring it on!

The good news is we found an amazing house today (front porch and all) and we leave for the Mayan Riviera in the morning!!

Naturally, A LOT is on my mind but could it get any better??

So today was the first day I stopped long enough to think “Oh camera!'” and broke it out to capture the house and proof that Billy and Angela really were here!!

I would LOVE to do a before and after post of whichever house we do end up choosing (hopefully this one!)!

So how do you like it?

I love it and Alex is…. being Alex, loves it, yet reserved of what all may need to be done, blah blah it’s all cosmetics, the FUN stuff!

-You all have permission to remind me that I called it fun when I’m hot and we’re doing all of it ourselves!!-

Then we had dinner with B, Angela and Laura (yup, all my house guests are here, packed in like sardines… perfectly!!) at a new Chinese/Thai restaurant… possibly a “Hotlanta” version of southern palace?

Back to packing for me, btw how do you pack a hat? Rachel say’s I should wear it…

Mexico here we come!!

Hilton Head and The House Hunt Continues…

So last week I had a minor “Oh my god there’s only like 3 weekends left before school starts back and we have only made it to Hilton Head once this summer, pack up the pups and get in the car” moment.

So away we went!

Of course the pups got to visit their grama and grampa while their mom and dad snuck away to the beach….. they were more than happy with those arrangements though!

Look what we found in the freezer just waiting for us to drink up…. Daily’s Strawberry Daquiri’s with the liquor already added and ready to go you just freeze the container and drink it as it defrosts!

Bob and Jane joined us later in the day and we got to play catch up with them for most of the afternoon… It was a gorgeous day for the beach!

I think every time we go to the beach Lou opts for the “outdoor” shower…. as his only form of showering :)

Spanky clean (at least one of us is) and out to dinner at  Captain Woody’s!

We got so burned but had a great time at the beach and actually got to play in the waves… YES, Hilton Head actually had waves (for some weird reason) last weekend!   

So on to this week….

The morning after my “late night ramblings”, I literally woke up to a phone calling saying Grady had an internship position open up… So I immediately called them, went there, interviewed and GOT IT all in the same day!

I feel so relieved knowing THIS is the right decision!!

I can’t wait to start it, I just wish that didn’t go hand in hand with starting school!! YIKES!

Anyway, enough about me…. Laura is still loving her new job and has been working like crazy! Luckily we have managed to eat dinner together most nights and Oscar is getting acquainted to living with his cousins…….again.

There’s Miss laura making friends with our neighbors and TJ getting his third hair cut of the summer!!

This make look a bit harsh but it’s the only way to get that thick  hair off his neck! He was such a good boy and sat very nicely while his dad trimmed him all up! Milly kept checking on him and kissing him (yes, she was being the “giver” for once). I guess because I kept talking to Tuck telling him what a good boy he was being so Milly assumed something was wrong or that TJ was sad? (btw my basil is still kickin’)

Lastly, we found another house today that is a bit more realistic in terms of “fixing it up” I have a few pics that alex took and will post them soon! It too is in Roswell and we love the neighborhood and yard… it actually has a pool in the back yard but I’m not sure how much work it all needs? Anyway I will update with pics of that soon and keep ya posted on other potentials that we find out there! Btw I posted pics in last weeks blog of some shots mom snapped of the hippie fixer upper n case ya need a visual!

What a job house hunting is, who knew!!! 

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, I just found out Billy and Angela will be visiting me next week!!! I can’t wait, too bad I booked our Mexico trip right in the middle of his trip to see me but I guess he will be too busy with a THREE day weeding while i’m gone anyway!!

So it all works out and a FULL HOUSE we will surely have….. just the way I like it!
