Beautiful Boro Weekend

what a perfect weekend, We knocked out 4 birthdays in one trip to the BORO and had a BLAST doing so!! First was Christina’s birthday, so we went straight to EL SOM with her and Cara Friday night… after visiting Adam on the way into town, who was not feeling so well.

SO then  it was time for the BIG GIRL’S BIRTHDAY party.. KAILEY’S birthday party was Saturday morning…

Alex and I were so excited to bring Julian with us to Kailey’s birthday and she was certainly on her best behavior! She had the BEST time and met some sweet new friends besides Kailey!!

Every time we told her to smile she screamed “CHEESE!”

Kailey was the happiest birthday girls and trooper (as always) even though it was such a long day for her….

and tested out her new roller skates that her “Nonni” got for her!!!

She also shared one of her COOL new presents from her grama….

a new tri cycle!!

A fun time was had by all and it was the PRETTIEST day yet this year!! Actually got a little hot in the sun, & for once, I LOVED IT!

  

A few hours later it was time for STEPHANIE’S Birthday Celebration at Mill house for Dinner and an “all nighter night”

haha I think it was one of THE MOST amazing nights ever and I am positive that it was the MOST PAINFUL night ever…..

After Mill house we all went back to Ney and Josh’s (where Kaileys Birthday party was held earlier that day) and Lou and Ney cooked all of us about 22 grilled cheese sandwiches just before RE-BLOWING up Kailey’s bouncy AGAIN and bounced/fell down until about 4am….. I feel like I got run over by a truck…. 7868739284867594567934 TIMES!!

  

I wonder why….

The funniest part is that if you got thrown into a corner it would literally collapse on you…. like cave in and cause the others around you to fall until JOSH picked us out of it!!

SO on to SUNDAY when we woke up completely BRUISED and sore… we packed up the pups to spend the rest of our weekend at Alex’s mom which includes…. JULIAN!!

So not much time for words but this may do a better job anyway!

  Every time she got REALLY excited over the weekend she would squeeze and kiss your face really hard!! If you weren’t facing her she would grab your face to give a kiss! haha so cute!

  Helping shovel hay… but decided to instead give it all to Tucker?

And eating out of “real dog” feeders… ya know the kind found in barns…. it’s a macho thing.

We didn’t end up leaving until way too late but what can i say… I’m in love with that cutie and the pups only get to be off their leash about once a month…. (when we go THERE….  and only once a month is for good reason….Milly swam in the pond, rolled in horse poop and then humped my leg  while i was holding Julian…all in about 5 minutes from each other… and IN THAT ORDER!!)

Sadly, this weekend will be much different!!! Nothing but studying!! WISH ME LUCK!!

Happy Mardi Gras!!!

So not a lot of times for w0rds today but then again…. are they really necessary with these cuties? This one is for her Uncle Billy!!

Shaking for her treat! Lately she almost gets excited to put clothes on because she knows a treat will come after a few moments of torture… Good trade off… huh?  This was so funny, After I took milly’s shirt off Tucker walked up to me all excited as if he wanted a turn to wear the shirt. I usually never bother him with stuff like that because he’s such a “grandpa” and gets so HOT but he insisted so I put it on him and actually, he loved it!! AND smiled so PRETTY for his picture!

SO Lou called today JEN DAY… I have my own day now!!! haha we had to celebrate me not having class today (and he already has Tuesdays off) so we got to stay home together!! He participated/celebrated with yet ANOTHER day of NO COMPUTER!!! Can you believe it!!?? So we went to the mall for a bit because I’m still struggling in the “work clothes” section of my closet….Ugh I hate them, I need to move somewhere where sundresses suffice as everyday attire, and are appropriate in every season!

Besides that we stayed home and did a TON of cleaning!!

So we had to move Tucker and Milly’s toys outside… she was “devastated”… lil’ miss priss loves drama, drama, drama…

Which I finally put up the “tree”  Yes the christmas tree/ Valentines day tree…. I decided if i keep it up too long it won’t be exciting to take it out again when Christmas comes this year!! haha

Well speaking of Valentines  day, Lou got smart on us….So like I said we had both agreed NO presents this year for Valentines day… well Lou thought he would be clever (and SWEET) and wait to give me flowers and a Sun dress the day after Valentines day!!  I know mom, he is a SWEETIE!

Flowers are always better on a random day than a holiday anyway, right!! :) The dress is sooo “J’dore” (laura-Cara-Tina) I just need a little sunshine to go with it (and maybe a temperature above 50) which may be a while…… I’m sooo OVER cold weather!!

I should probably go back to middle school and RE-give up soft drinks…. I actually buy them now… like 12 packs…. SAD!

Minnicks’ First VALENTINE’S day!!

SO yes, we have spent God knows how many together but HEY, hey, hey, have no fear we will RECOGNIZE this as the FIRST (again) as MARRIED people!! haha

SO Lou thought he would get away with eating out of a “normal” cereal bowl the day before Valentines day but AFTER midnight…. NO, NO, NO!! :)

SO then it was time to wake up to a Valentine  morning…

I promise every blog is not about Tucker and Milly but just look….

SO anyway….. GOOD VALENTINE’S DAY MORNING!! We hope you started yours with heart shaping EVERY type of breakfast food like we did!!

You did if your super cheesy!!

I discovered that for someone who rarely cooks I sure do come prepared on Valentine’s day!!

All of you who are nauseous right now… you have mom to thank for supplying 90% of it over the years :) I love it!

 

   

SO Heart shaped…. Blueberry muffins (for my valentine STUD muffin;) , pancakes and poached eggs it is!!

Of course Tucker and Milly had their own heart shaped pancakes!! “ Mill’s face= “Mom put the camera down so we can eat”

So after stuffing our faces and going to get Alex a haircut (which now includes a next door -Tuesday morning- run in where I happen to find the cutest BIRD lamp for $15!!) Had to mention that!

Then we were off to explore the covered bridge I had been talking about for a week now, I pass the sign for it on my way home from work but had no clue what it was… now we know, and so do you!

   

  Alex noticed this location wasn’t set as a Google location, so he took a picture and now it is!! You can look up Roswell covered bridge and the picture he took with his phone is tagged as the location there! 

We decided to head home before it got too dark and plan to return with the dogs on Tuesday (hoping there will not be anyone else  around, especially anyone with a leash and pup on the end of it, Manda i know you understand this and probably question why I would even attempt it!) for now, time to head home and freshen up for our hibachi date!

So this year we didn’t FORCE Tucker and Milly to be each other’s date and guess what happened……

After our two hot dates we left for our own date finally…

Tucker knew if he picked mommy to be his date he would get presents!!! YUMMY busy bones!!

(Ohh stop, ofcourse they both got one!!) One last note…

SO no, it may not be our first Valentine’s day BUT it’s definitely the first time I have gotten to buy a HUSBAND valentine card….. somehow none of them said the right things this year??? All the cute ones that I liked were not to a husband…I told mom I HAVE to have husband on it, at least for just this year!! Shouldn’t that be a rule? So i settled for this one and wrote what i wanted!!

So our day together sufficed as our “present” this year (you have no idea what it means for Alex to spend the day off the computer!) So our bridge date, dinner date and MANDATORY love letters did the job well ;) haha What a day!
