Bobbin and bloggin.....

Laying in bed at 2 am with a laptop in my lap is starting to get old..... I have been in a very long stretch of finishing up first semester of grad school with endless papers and getting ready for finals all with in the first two weeks after we come back from Thanksgiving!! We are in a cohort program therefore.... mean...just mean!!

Anyway back to my original point, Lou just rolled over and asked if i was "bloggin AND bobbin" in between my correlations of this freaking research paper, which i have found every need to procrastinate on... hints thw blog in bed at 3 am!!

Meanwhile with all this school work leaves me little time for being "cute" in class!! This is where the "bobbin" helps out!! I twist my hair up into about 4 sections while wet and wrap them into little "knobs" to sleep on, so yes i look like an alien and pictures of this will not be provided!! but hey some people were not born with natural curls... we make it work though!!

On to our weekend... and I have to remember a future note laura decided need to be in a blog..

This is pretty much what our RAINY Sunday looked like..... literally!

A wet Dog...in bed, good snuggles from the babies AND Chili cooking all day (i know right!!)

So yes besides this, papers papers papers... thanks daddy and lou for all the help by the way!!
Well Although i promised myself not to leave the house this weekend due to my stack of homework (aka papers.... just got tired of saying the word though :) anyway we did go out for Lee's birthday Saturday and it was a lot of fun! It's so neat to live somewhere other than statesboro and be able to get together with all you friends still! I made brownies for his birthday and brought cookies and sunflower seeds (from andy and rachel who couldn't make it... frito lay comes in handy!).... we had a blast and although our intentions were to give ALL the goodies to Lee, we ran into a man in the parking lot first.... he was holding a " hungry need food" sign so yes, you may say we are suckers, but i believe we can all agree the man needed the brownies, cookies and sunflower seeds more than lee. Even though they were technically not mine to give, Lee didn't mind, and I saved him some anyway :) We did get a room number for an apt the man was staying in to bring him leftovers but no one answered and it ended up being too sketchy so we left and headed to lee's for yes, UFC.... oh well, we tried!

Speaking of Andy and Rachel, they couldn't make lee's birthday this weekend because they were out of town, so guess who got to visit Tucker and Milly......chelsea!!

IT sure did make potty time interesting.... love chelsea to death and she is super easy(besides the 3 medications she is currently on) but it helps remind me that I can only handle 2 dogs i believe, atleast until we have a fenced in back yard, OR FARM!!

Did i mention in detail my cooking attempts this weekend?? I am done with the statement " i don't cook/ know how to cook" after this weekend, let it be known... I cook and I can cook! I still do not like standing over hot things or reading directions but, this particular time it wasn't that bad, especially when anticipating the end result!! I freakin chopped up a vegetable (onion... CRYED the entire time!).... (xmas present anyone?? hmmchopperhmmm) anyway ;) I made chili, it didn't come from a box... so ya know what, I cook! I was so excited and wanted to make it last us until wednesday when we go to the cabin to let mama feed us alllllll week... however, after 3 suprise visits friday night, this did not happen...

....so i made more Sunday with alex's help between my studying!! I'm sure we will be soooo over chili by december, and i may have to learn a new thing to "cook" ideas anyone... keep in mind beginner level options please!! something crock pot may be cute and easy, any of my 3 followers know how to add a link if you find something easy..... :) just an idea!! Time to finish up my papers and then Nite nite with 4 sleepy babies (chelsea is still here :) talk about a cuddle party)

Actually Tuck is wide awake, panting, waiting for mommy to put the laptop up... maybe i will finish paper in the am!!

Week 1 as a blogger...

So How was my first weekend as a blogger...? Well considering it's after midnight on Monday, I guess I failed at a weekend blog but with good reason, We had a busy, busy weekend!

So Since my last blog what has gone on..... Well Thursday night I blew up our microwave..... DON"T try to use the timer on the microwave and allow it to cook with nothing in it!! There went at least 60$ not to mention the fact that we hate cooking REAL food (anything that requires stove or oven!) so we are OUT OF LUCK FOR NOW!!
On a brighter note :) We had our first Altlanta Thrashers Hockey game with Autumn too!! We showed up an hour late and the score was 0-0 the first 20 minutes after we sat down Thrashers scored 4 points!! The fans sitting around us were begging us not to leave! I actually really enjoyed the game! It was much easier to keep up with(compared to football) 1 goal=1 point :)


Naturally attempting to leave 5 minutes early to beat the crowd... didn't go so well, Lou wanted to stop at CNN bldg, I had a small panic attack when we entered the swinging door, Alex and Autumn were in one slot and I was in the other, I though I was STUCK.... oh no... just LOU! ha Well it was a fun filled night ending at Autumns with Pizza, wine and good girl talk!! I got a bit carried away bragging about Lou to her after he fell asleep, but i can't help it.... I always end up talking about him like a proud mommy when his sisters are around, I guess its the feeling of knowing they can relate..... and they always tell the BEST stories. I actually heard a few new ones "why, why, why" and how he always had oreo's all over his face!! His poor sisters!! haha

Speaking of which, lets skip forward to Sunday.... This is what i caught lou doing....


YES..... I clean, but I draw the line at ironing and he has to fend for himself! When I walked in to see him watching a youtube clip of "how to iron a pleat" or whatever that line in your pants is called i almost died! haha He had no idea as to what was so funny about it!! So yes Sunday we stayed home and cleaned and I was able to get pieces- of some- of my many papers done!! I refuse to write papers over Thanksgiving break!

Saturday was soooo sweet!! We go to meet up with Sweet mandy and D. CArabbas and DAiry queen!! mmm mmm mmm! Exciting news....mandy and I found out Douglasville is a middle place for us only about 40 minutes from us both! WITHHHHH an OLD TIME POTTERY!! which is where our next date will be!! Manda is the cutest, happiest, best "spirited" Pregnant mommy ever!! "Light as a feather D, no grunting!!" ha I loved it! ohh and ofcourse... there was a well, unfortunately but typical... part of our night. After our double date Lou decided to sit in the parking lot and destroy my dashboard... not sure... something to do with his new phone hook up?? Compared to his other bright idea this weekend Im not sure which was more "lou" of him.... he found an old slingshot, stole Tucker and Millys dog food to use as bulletts and then began shooting at windows etc. from our porch... We make such a good impression on the neighbors.... WOW... our life... and why should the babies have to sacrifice their food for daddys silly hobbies right Tucker....
Poor TJ... and ofcourse he could careless about the SAME EXACT food in his bowl, yet begged for these 3 pieces for.... well I gave in after about 2 minutes! haha one more picture of my babies to end with!! YAY for completing post number 2!! Time to crawl in bed with 3 BIG babies!!

Never a better time than the present....

...So i have always had deadlines in my head set for myself as to when I will start a journal, before today I had failed each one. I remember being in middle school saying "I wish I had kept a journal since kindergarten" since I had not, then "why start now??" Type of thing.... I remember in High school wishing I had started a journal as a freshman, otherwise it's pointless.. right? I also remember Alex and I's 8 year (dating anniversary) thinking I wish I had started when we met....( how cool would that have been!!) but obviously I never did.

Well I quit wishing and started writing as of TODAY.. I'm convinced if I wait to start on a significant day it will never happen!! So I started on a completely insignificant day, 2 days after our 6 month anniversary!!

I do have to say that TECHNICALLY I kept up to my one and final deadline I set years ago for myself... I've always said I will DEFINETLY make myself write in a journal when we start having our own little munchkins. But then I realized we will probably be sooo, over protective, paranoid, mushy, overly obsessed with them, completely busy and "uncarefree" by then that I MUST start before then! What if that was all our children knew of us was post having children?? Or if we oursleves forget how we used to be before babies. I know, i know, i worry and over analyze EVERYTHING! Anyway...So i have happy to say I have started NOW, while we are still "us"... just us.

I'm not promising to write everyday or even every week and I'm certainly not promising anything too interesting...(so don't get too excited). I just want to write the day to day in and outs of our lives we experience... together. Which I believe is the best part about the blog idea, you tend to remember exciting milestones with out needing a reference, but you don't remember the itty bitty things that at least for me and alex (no i will not use the term "alex and I" in this blog... BOBBYO :))are the best parts and make up who we are.

For example: (blog 1) I got out of bed last night to cut up a cantelope for alex and I to eat for breakfast the next day. As I got in my car he was bringing the dogs over to kiss their mama bye. So i leaned down to kiss my babies and all of my cantelope fell in the parking lot! I was so mad, running late, hungry, raining... you get it! So he persisted that I take his cup of cantelope and naturally I refused. He didn't understand it would actually make me more mad to know i had gotten out the bed the night before to cut catelope and only i got to eat it. I guess i get it from you mom but i get so much pleasure from feeding others!! (Mom you get it right?) But on the other hand it's sweet to know we both got mad because we wanted the other person to be better off than ourself.

So anyway the point is I want us to be able to look back and laugh at the silly little arguments, giggle attacks, and everything in between until... Our Ever After!


So! After 2 days of trying to figure out how to work this page, I have decided I should officially be awarded the title "geek", no one told me i have to have a degree in computers to attempt blogging!!?? So, Let the History making begin!
