Random Events Take 2:

So I started this before last weekend.. Now it’s Thursday and I’m looking forward to the weekend again!

I have good reason though; when i originally started this post i forgot to save it and when things like that happen i like to first walk away and second live ion denial that it happened…

It’s been a week and it’s time to face the music of recapping even more random events now!

For fellow readers suffering from OCPD like myself lets go with bullet points!

After acknowledging i have the sweetest cuddle bugs ever!

Ok for real;

- Lou had a pretty classy parking job (You can’t really tell here but i literally had to jump out) at Six Feet Under Last week where we had with Jeff and Liz and watched Jeff eat “Rat toes”…

C360_2012-04-12-19-37-04

- Mom and dad made a mash dash to Atlanta when I called Friday night and said “We need to know if we should make an offer on a house tomorrow, come see what you think), to our rescue they came but the house was a no-go so we spent our day enjoying patios and looking into other houses..

2012-04-149514.05.04- After an unsuccessful house hunt Alex took us for a tour of his new building complex (you know I made him get out, stand by the sign and smile for the camera)

-

That night we had a cook out and mom learned baby Luthers obsession infatuation with the ice maker….  2012-04-14_21-06-12_191

- Sunday after a long day of SHOPPING AND PEDICURES (with mom- the best) we splurged even more with Mexican!

C360_2012-04-18-18-31-31

- When all else fails, use your own patio!

DSC04447 DSC04452 DSC04456 DSC04464 DSC04465DSC04485   That is all readers… BTW, Isn’t my Tucker Jones adorable? I know I know!

In bigger news Andy is enjoying his last 361 days as a “man in his twenties”…. that and still sleeping off Birthday Festivities…

We will get to that latter because it’s way too special to put in a blog titled “Random Events Take 2”

Rachel’s Birthday and First Braves Game

Last week we celebrated Rachel’s 24th birthday (again, damn number never changes, crazy)!

DSC04326

It was amazing and she picked the absolute best Mexican restaurant ever, after El Som of course, Nuevo Mexican Cantina….. at least if you ordered what I ordered, apparently the table was pretty split with loving it or thinking “ehhh”!DSC04357

Rachel and I were on the loving it side so many more Nuevo dates to come, Alex already agreed to bring Taco bell!

DSC04343

Typical Andy and Rachel pic,,,,

DSC04324Dinner, Margaritas and the best store bought angel food cake ever!

*Cutest Picture EVER above*

Wishing to stay “24” again next year maybe? DSC04338Mmmm someone is excited to cut the cake!  DSC04345

If your birthday is coming up anytime in the near future close your eyes and skip to next section!

This is my new “go to” present, redneck wine glass (actual name), I also got JJ the Red Neck Margarita set for their engagement gift and they are all made from mason jars… just add a stem!

IMG959913    Rachel’s even comes with a lid… too good to be true! You can find them at just about any boutique type store, “Lime Tree” if in Atlanta!IMG951703

Happy birthday Pookster, I love you!

DSC04355

That Friday was the BRAVES opening game, so we slightly continued Rachel’s celebrations and made an appearance in the parking Lot! DSC04369

Yes, merely sitting in the parking lot was all planned out… we decided after our last game last season when Rachel and I pitched a fit about having to go in the game “just because we had good seats” that next time we just wouldn’t bother buying tickets!

So for opening game, we didn’t!

DSC04371

We also planned for traffic and parking to be bad… but not THIS bad….

After Andy drove us around for literally over an hour trying to find a parking spot in the middle of chaos and “season pass only” lots, he finally decided enough was enough and we were going home… at about the same time I yelled out the window begging to park in a closed lot… WE GOT IN!

DSC04376

We ended up scoring the best spot too, room to play corn hole and right next to a hotel which serves cheese if you forget your for your burgers and nicely ask for theirs (just fyi) and the best part; clean bathrooms (IF you pretend your staying there and ask them to clean it or point you in the direction of a cleaner one with proper “supplies”)… anyway, yay for no port-a- pottys!

DSC04375

Lou was very proud!

DSC04378 DSC04373

I can’t wait for many more Braves games to come… well you know, Braves game tail gating adventures :)DSC04377

More weekend festivities to come;

Happy birthday Rachel!

Easter Weekend Trip

DSC04245

We headed down to Mom and dads on Thursday to bring them the grandpups and off to Hilton Head we went!

I was soo eager to get in the sun and relax on the beach but unfortunately Friday was full of wind, rain and coldness… so to the outlets we went!

2012-04-05_17-07-32_249

That night we got to go out with Alexs dad, Jane an Uncle Walt to Hurricane Bar which had the bes heated patio tables!! So nice! My cousing Stephanie and David were in town and kid free so we lived the night up with them and had the best time catching up and “bar hoping” ;)

I wish I had taken pictures but it was cold, rainy and we all bought/borrowed last minute granny clothes to cuddle up in so i decided to spare us all the embarrassment!

Saturday was sunny and windy but that was not stopping us, to the beach we went!

DSC04127

Let me just say if you ever lay out and it’s windy so you freeze the whole time and think I’m not getting any sun… YOU ARE WRONG! You are still getting sun and should wear sunscreen!

Lou got quite FRIED and it only got worse the next day… more of that to come!

DSC04128 Mom and dad had been busy bee’s remodeling the condo and it looked sooo good!! On top of everything else, mom of course had all of our favorite snacks, breakfast items, drinks, alcoholic beverages including champagne and Easter decorations waiting for us! DSC04138

Spoiled*

DSC04145

Jane had us over for an early Easter dinner that was amazing, i can still taste the pasta sauce… mmmmmmmmmmmm! Best part was seeing Avery and Julian in their Easter Outfits!

DSC04211

She has the cutest most sincere faces… unlike her grandpa… DSC04150 DSC04151 DSC04159

Pretty girl, she is such a loving big sister.. Jane asked if she wanted to leave Avery with them when she went home and she replied “no because i want to see baby Avery every day!” DSC04170 DSC04172 DSC04177

Julian was so excited to have Easter presents to open early! DSC04189 DSC04193

That night we got home and realized just how much of alex’s burn had set in… when it comes to health issues he is the worst, he worries sooo much so i usually try to under worry so to keep him from panic mode but i couldn’t lie, it was bad!

DSC04218

The next day was wayyyy to pretty to waste though and it was Easter Sunday, we had already seen an “Easter Bunny” so we were feeling to good to not get a little more fresh air even if he had to cover up the whole time! DSC04225

“It’s okay Jen, I’m fine, I will just cover up” DSC04227

We brought a big umbrella for him to sit under to keep from getting more burned but he thought that was only for losers or parents with kids… I guess the above picture is him being “cool”? DSC04228    I told him we could totally pass for pretending like we had kids.. “they were just down playing in the water”…. I brought enough stuff for the two of us it sure looked like we had kids with us… (I have Kern in me)!DSC04243

He still refused but what a good sport he was until I got all my rays and we packed up to go to my moms for Easter Dinner and to pick up the babies!

DSC04252    Alex’s mom and Mike worked most of the weekend but we stopped by to catch up before they hit the bed one night and again on the way home from the beach… I wanted to get some pictures of these guys but they were so far away… Until i walked to the barn (which they associate with food) I found cheetos to give them and they came RUNNING- literally! DSC04262

Julie Mud Pie wasn’t to good at fighting her way in to get the cheeto’s so i gave her some extra attention after the others got tired of me :)DSC04276

We made it to mom and dads for dinner and how cute did she have everything set up?.?.? ?DSC04286

Ridiculous!

DSC04307

She made her lamb pound cake which was amazing and coconut grass around it, pund cake cupcakes and chocolate covered retzels with egg shaped springles….DSC04294

Alex’s response… she needs grand kids!

Agreed!

DSC04288 DSC04293DSC04309

Guess your never too old for the Easter Bunny to come visit! DSC04296

Happy belated Easter everyone, Rachel’s birthday festivities are coming soon which is inclusive of our FAVORITE new mexican restaurant! Yes, we had to find a new one after finding out our old one scored a 44 (sanitation grade) via the news during an undercover bust! Ew.
