Minnicks On Their Road To Ever After: Prepping for Birthday…Week.

SO I found this the other day on facebook and it is literally what I try and explain in my head on a daily basis EXCEPT sub the going to bed early to catch up on sleep with scurrying around the house to get things done with sitting down and just relaxing…

That whole catching up on sleep is just over rated and ain’t nobody got time for that!

Alex and I serosuly always wonder “what in the hell did we do before this girlfriend came along”?

No offense Lola..

We had a week of preparring to get ready for our daddy Lous big day and if you know anything about spending Lola…. that was cutting it close.

This girl does not let me get anything done!

Yeah you.

She is too busy lent rolling my pants with her rolling pen.

Anyway, we had LOTS to get done this week for daddy’s birthday and Monday he was (thankfully) home with us for the holiday which was so nice because lately we have only gotten one day together out of the week since have been sending a day on the weekends at CHOA.

On the other hand that cut into our secret missions for birthday week!

We made “the best of it” lol and made him take us out for brunch!

Lola has two favorites at Cracker Barrell… shopping and biscuits.

I wonder who she got that from?

I am starting to see these eyes ALL the time now! She thinks it’s hillarious to make them…

We finished our day with some non-birthday shopping and cuddling up on the couch since our girl is now obsessed with Sofia and Nemo!

Why is she so stinking cute and now with the new love of actually watching her shows we get more cuddle time!

So Tuesday it was on (after our day at gymastics and a lunch date with Miss Brittany) ofcourse!

Which we are by the way LOVING our new gymnastics class on Tueday morning instead on Wednesday night- that was starting to kill us!

It uually ends up being Lola and I’s most productive day!

She did So good walking around the store saying “dada, dada” and picking stuff out for him until she spotted this umbrealla… She needed it and so it was sold… afer all she actually did a REALLY good job helping me pick out stuff for daddy!

Wednesday it was crunch time! We had a cake to make and last minute birthday celebrations to get- she and her umbrella were ready!

She kept singing “Happy Dayyyy” on our way out the door!

After her nap we were racing against the clock to start making daddy’s cake… a two day process with this child.

…. and God forbid I start without her, whats an assistant for after all.

My taste testing queen is getting a bit too eager…. she ever even waits for us to mix it anymore…. she just goes ahead and eats powder these days.

A bit side tract… nail time.

Those eyes again…

Daddy Lou walked in right hen we were in the middle of it, smelld it and just had to have some!

We had not even iced it yet!

I told him he was now having a single layer cake because I am not creative enough (nor is my assistant) to balance the other cake on top of that mess daddy just created….

In other news girlfriend kept s on our toes the rest of the night as ALWAYS.

She found this jump drive and was obsessed with keeping it in her waist band once daddy got home….. I soon realized she thought it looked like his pocket knife that he keeps there too.

She is too much.

But we love her.

Thursday came and although our poor daddy Lou had to go to work bright and early Lola and I started with a birthay celebation breakfast! She was SO xcited to come down and see the birthdy fairy had come for daddy while we were sleeping!

It actually worked to our advantage and gave us one last afternoon to tidythings up for Daddys birthday (and finish his cake)!

We NEVER get excited to see naps like this but on a day like this we needed every second we could get!

Saved by technical difficulties!

Lola was all dressed up with her mascara (on her eyebrow), baby doll, sunglasses and jump drive… he also insisted in carrying it ALL at the ssame time and just getting down the stirs was a fiasco in itself…
