Oh what a surprise entrance you decided to make sweet girl! 4 weeks early and the night after we had a little girls night in with your mommy for what we didn’t know at the time would be our lat get together without baby girl here!
Wednesday night Alex was out of town for a work trip so Kayla and I had decided to cook dinner and enjoy eachothers’ company not thinking anything of it!
She had mentioned having some contractions earlier that day but we chalked it up to Braxton hicks an carried on!
At least i did!
The next day Lola and I were enjoying a day at the pool when we got a text from Kayla that she was at the doctor to check on the contractions…. ensue FREAK OUT MODE!
Girlfriend was HALFWAY there literally to having this baby girl! I was so excited I called Ale and told him he would have a baby to meet when he got off the pane that night!
Unfortunately later that night things slowed down and we weren’t sure if Kayla would be released (crazy as that sounds) or if they would help her move things along to get this baby out!
Friday came and i got the best text ever as I literally waked out the door of my exam (more of that to come) “We’re gonna have a baby today”!
I waited by the phone on pins and needles texting her sister the entire day all while trying to NOT text them (that was WAY to hard)….. Then at 6:47 Friday night I received this picture from her sister, Krista!!
Fresh out her mamas belly and I don’t think i have ever seen two more beautiful things! Jayden Marie was born at a surprising 6 pounds 9 ounces… we feared what she would have been had she waited 4 more weeks!!
That night we were heading to the Lake (ore of that to come too- whew!) but I HAD to stop by and meet this girl and love on her mama first!
To Northside we go and Lolas first trip since I walked out this very door in a snow storm with her to drive her home for the very first time almost 18 months ago….
Girlfriend was so excited… I told her all day she would get to meet a “real” baby doll!
When we arrived Jaydn was in a special nursery so they could monitor her breathing and Kayla and her mom were still in the delivery room or the “MOST magical place in the world” as i like to call it! Lola was so excited to see Jadyn but forgot all about that when we walked in Kaylas room- she had her eye on one thing- Aunt Kayla!
She climbed right up in her lap and just couldn’t get close enough! 
Krista came to check on everything and showed us where the nursery was so we could go see Jadyn, suddenly i had tunnel vision… 
Ok we all did…. 
She was ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!!! 
Perfect is the only way i could describe her, I felt like I coud stare at her for days! She is such a special little girl and has been born into the most special family! 
They were all getting ready to transition into a “real” room and so we kissed everyone goodbye and headed out for the weekend to the lake… I don’t think i stopped talking about Jadyn the entire 2 hour trip!
The weekend away was torturous!! I needed to see more of that baby girl! So you do know that i screenshot every picture that came from Krista or Kayla the entire weekend right… oh come on how could you not?!!?!?
Sunday night we rolled back into town and Monday morning we were setting up a time to come HOLD that baby (since we didn’t get to hold her at the hospital)… I had prepped Lola all about meeting the baby again and she was SO excited!
However, I do think she thought we were going to pick out a new baby doll for her to keep…
We walked in the door and without missing a beat girlfriend tried to swoop Jadyn up right out of Kaylas arms! 
Thats when i thew the camera down shrieking “NOOOOOOO!” 
Can you blame her though, she is absolutely beautiful just like my Lola girl!
All that hair!! 
We brought them lunch and had a sweet picnic with all four of us together on the floor and Lola was in heaven!
The first few days home are just the sweetest! I still remember ours with Lola, they sleep and you stare!!
….and take pictures… more and more pictures! I actually deleted about 400 pictures from my phone before walking in the door to …. prepare. #totallynormalright
Lola is in a growth spurt we think so she is literally snacking and eating around the clock! I swear we watched her hands 5 times and then she would eat something and then come back to see the baby!
I don’t know how moms with two kids do it!?!?
Lola was SO sweet to the baby, very interested and slightly cautious… most of all she wanted to find her “purpose” this girl LOVES to help… so we decided Lola could be in charge of her paci! 
Isn’t she the best! she knew i wasn’t putting the paci all the way in and she wanted to make sure it was done the “right” way!
Poor Jadyn! 
Then we decided we needed to see Jadyn naked! Lola had to see her fingers and arms and was fascinated, especially when Kayla changed her diaper! 
Aren’t they the sweetest, Kayla is naturally SUCH a good mommy picking up on all of Jadyns cues !
She is a pro!

Jadyns newborn size clothes are still a bit too big so Aunt Kayla had to dig her little hand out so Lola could see her fingers!
Just before we left, sleepy head gave us a big burp and peaked her eyes at us a bit! Thanks Jadyn!! 
No really, I may steal her…
When we got home we told Daddy Lou all about what we got to do today and so asked Lola to “show” daddy what we did today…. she ran in the other room and specifically picked out her one baby doll that has a pacifier and put it on her chest to burp and then laid the baby like this to put her paci in it’s mouth…
It constantly amazes me the thought that goes into this girls behaviors and choices… she amazes me daily!
We are (as you can see) SO SO SO very obsessed excited that you are here Jadyn!!! You are healthy and happy and we could not be more thankful that another baby girl has been brought into this world!
We are so excited to watch you grow and to watch you and Lola become friends who share the best picnics, tea parties, shopping outings and lunch dates together with your mamas lead of course ;)

7/17/15 was certainly a day for the books!
