Thanks Given and More!

What a nice break we had, spending Thanksgiving at my parents and Black Friday was spent shopping with the crazies and ended with Alex’s moms turkey dinner all over again!

Typical Francisco issues; when we try to cook –specifically- and it’s for a lot of people… it screws up! So the table was ready but the turkey was not……..

for what ended up being another 5 or so hours (Mom got a new fancy pot and the oven did not like the fancy-ness) so everyone headed out back with guns (except me, I opted for my camera to waste time and to keep ourselves out of the kitchen (Billy and I were determined to fast until it was ready- only after eating breakfast though of course)!!DSC02361

Obviously my breakfast was an un-exciting banana…..

Ok maybe if we help it will speed things up????

Yeah no…… how about we just go sit at the table without the bird?

That worked! All of a sudden it was ready and we all agreed it was worth the wait, that or the relief and release of endorphins that the fasting was over, time to eat!!!

Eating so late put us girls off of our K-mart schedule we have been known to hit up after Thanksgiving every year!!

 (I needed these)shoppin

But we still made it (thanks to dad cleaning up after the feast) and got our advertisements to scope out the deals for the next day!!

So Friday we shopped and shopped and shopped and then had lunch at SOHO South Cafe in downtown savannah, it was so good and they have the best grilled cheese sandwiches EVER!

The inside has antiques for sale and is super cute as well!

soho  Then it was time for round 2 at Alexs moms!!

The peanut just gets more and more talkative every time we see her… and holds her “cheese” as long as she can hold her breath!!

….and soon after Rachel and I got bored and decided to find a tarp- Alex found a rope and away behind the four wheeler we went- “Tarpin”!

Enjoy!

Yup, good typical craziness out there, it was all wonderful and I am thankful to have spent this years Thanksgiving just the way I did, with (almost) all the ones I love!

We also started the beginning of my birthday celebrations while we were down there but I’m pooped for now- so those are soon to come!

Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving with those you are thankful for as well!
