Minnicks On Their Road To Ever After: A Birthday Girl

Well we have done it again celebrated with the best of them! I even managed to take my mind off Lola and our due date for long enough to enjoy my very own day!
Shocker I know. I got home and Lou had beaten me there with an official tacky birthday extravaganza mixed with halfway done Christmas decorations and I loved every bit of that beautiful mess!

Time for presents and cake! Every year since high school I have blown out my candles and wished for one thing…. Lou and babies (most years I threw in there to please let me have at least one girl)…..

I think it’s pretty clear our wish has already come true this year… ‘m going to have to get more creative from now on ;)

LOL Honestly all I can think of is for her to be healthy and safely get from my tummy to our arms!

My first celebration was actually the night prior to my big day with mom, dad and Billy before they headed home from thanksgiving! I had such a hard time deciding what i wanted to eat! I think some of the earlier food diversion stuff has come back! I can eat once i go somewhere but i never crave or want anything really….

Anyway, we ended up with Seafood and then again the NEXT night when Lou and I went out on my actual birthday!

Round 2 on my real birthday night… seafood….. again!

I have to post this… Alex always makes fun of how messy i am when i eat… the only time he is worse than me is when we eat seafood! He’s a mess!

This was seriously the BEST smoothie ever! I wish they had a drive through because I would probably go get one everyday!

On second thought… it’s probably best they don’t! Lou was such a dad…. after we ate and started to leave he wanted to take about 5 pictures of me outside restaurant with the whole restaurant in the picture…. he also video recorded half the night…

I think it’s his way of preparing for Lola… I’m usually the picture taker but we always said we would both do a better job with pics and videos once we have a little one because everything it seems is a “moment” to record!

I guess he’s practicing?!?!

I actually got to celebrate one more time this past weekend with my loves and seafood… JUST KIDDING!

Hibachi!

When I say you get creative with drinks when your sober for this long i mean it! The “ninja turtle” at was a hit…. I had 2!

Lou and I decided we have got to figure out how to make them on our own… PINTEREST!?! Hibachi time! I think 28 just might be the best year yet!

And ever year after, how could it not? I get to be a mommy!!!!

Lola decided to throw me her very own party in my tummy this year! Right around the time Alex asks “are you ready to go to bed yet” she gives me her first THUMP and goes at it until 1-3am!

As a matter of a fact she has done it ever night since my birthday… welcome to 8 months i guess?

Thank you for thinking of your mom Lola it’s very “considerate” of you! I guess this is karma… your days and your night seem to be mixed up similar to your mom when she was a baby, i guess we should have thought harder before deciding to theme your room in owls, oh well!

A night owl sure does fit you perfectly!

Oh well,, it has turned your mama into quite the night owl lately too since it prevents me from sleeping but I have made the best of it and done some fun shopping, pinteresting and even got our Christmas cards ordered!
