We have welcomed fall and were spoiled with a fun long weekend visit from Gigi, Poppy and Lola’s boyfriend Uncle B!
I jumped the gun a bit that morning by telling Lola and Milly they were on their way!
She just looked at me and shrieked in excitement!!
I told her we had a lot of playing to do and gymnastics class to go to before they got there! So we did just that! Aren’t they the sweetest!
We rushed out of the gym and we literally all pulled up in the driveway at the same time!
Lola was so excited so we stayed up extra late and then had a slow morning complete with breakfast with Poppy, stories with Gigi and outside time finding caterpillars while Uncle B worked!
These two are attached at the hip
I even talked them into helping me get out my fall stuff!
I forgot to clarify “and help me put it up”.
Lola dug it all out and then moved on to the next…. worst of all she took my helper Gigi with her! This picture (above) is right after she went around the table and informed us all that each of us was in fact “bad” when we asked her if she was “bad, good or funny” she was funny.
Shocker. In other news our little mama had moved on from just feeding, burping and changing babies.. we now change the dirty diapers and put them in the trash…
I think Lola has thrown away 15 perfectly fine diapers since Saturday…. Ayiyi this girl!
That afternoon we went to Trader Joes to stock the fridge with “B friendly foods” and Lola was in Heaven!!
I spotted the kid size carts as soon as we walked in but waited until right before we were about to leave to show her the cart… or when I thought we were about to leave (it turned into another 20 minutes of watching Lola fill the cart and then me trying to put it all back)!
Initially she only wanted me to push it and then she took over and was SO excited to pick stuff to put in it and even check out!
She saw Gigi and Poppy in line and was soexcitedto get in line behind them…. then she cut and was so excited to hand the attendant her “item” and get it bagged!
I gave her the bag thinking she would want to hold it and then reaized she already had planned out exactly what she wanted to do with it…. she put it back in her cart and literally zeroed in on where to return the cart….
She then removed her bag and put her cart right back where i got it from….
Like I said…. this girl is TOO MUCH!
The next day we did a little shopping with Gigi and Uncle B during his lunch break!
B got to learn all about Lolas need for speed… and her need for that damn cart…. We all needed something sweet after that so Gigi and Lola decided to Bake some brownies together….
Is this not the sweetest thing you have ever seen? Gigi’s face is priceless on this one!
That night we took uncle B, Gigi and Poppy to see all of Lolas favorite spots at the park …
Lola was too busy for pictures so to get her attention I told her I had a surprise… I forgot when i say the word “surprise” she covers her eyes….This was the best we could get before Lou and Lola gave up….
Dining with Grama (she wanted to wear my scaarf)….
Saturday morning finally came and Lola was so excited to put up more Halloween decorations with Daddy…. these stickers were such a hit! After her nap we went with B to The taste of Smyrna and had a picnic with some tasty treats from the food vendors!
BYOB :)
The camera stopped filming RIGHT before the cork went flying at another family walking by….I know Lola, you and daddy have issues!
Sunday we vetoed Lolas nap for a park and trip to the mall instead! No complaints from this girl!
We are officially ready for Ireland!!
Too bad we have to go a week without daddy before our trip gets here… he is going to Belgium first and then meeting us in Ireland…. We sure are going to miss him!
Speaking of missing…. Lola was SO upset when Gigi, Poppy and B left Monday morning… I put her in the car to see daddy for a “target lunch date” so she wouldn’t get too upset seeing them leave and she kept pointing to their seats in the car telling them to sit… poor baby girl!
She saw their car pull out the driveway (and we were behind it) and she wined every time it came into view until we parted way! I just kept saying “we’re almost to daddy, almost there!”
Make it better daddy, please! It’s Monday, HUG yourself says Lola!
Monday was also Lola’s first time officially wearing a Halloween outfit (that’s wasn’t pajamas) and I found the perfect accessory while shopping… Daddy was convinced they were just perfect!
KITTY CAT EARS!!
I mean really, does it get any cuter? The cure for anything is usually lunch breaks with daddy and a new bag of candy corn and today was no different! We wore her out! After her nap I decided we needed a picnic outside to cheer her up about being home with just Mommy again…. That face….
Today is OFFICIALLY the first day of Fall and we could not be more excited!
We’re going to be busy spending every spare minute with our Daddy Lou until he leaves us Saturday, I’m sure we will be back with a ton of sappy pictures and videos by the end of the weekend!
Pray for us (and my sanity)!!
Happy Fall everyone!!
