I was so excited to sit and blog about our weekend with my family here and FALL being officially in swing and then i realized… Oh shit.
I haven’t caught up on last weekend yet!
It was one of those “no big deal” yet very much needed weekends at home with my crew!
It started a bit early Friday when we had a lunch with daddy!
Poor daddy has been working a lot lately even at night and on the weekends (from home) so we have taken advantage of every lunch date we can get!
Lola was a HOT mess that day!! She must have been teething or just not feeling well because she was winey ALL morning which is SO unusual for her… I thought I was going to lose my mind just trying to get ready to leave the house….
I literaly had to get ready by just commiting to hearing her cry just long enough so i could set her down and put on ashirt… When Alex called just before we left and I told him what was going on his response was “It’s really okay, yall dont have to come meet me”…. “Oh no! were coming” was my response!
Hell, after all the hardest part was over! Wouldn’t you know as soon as we got there this little girl was HAPPY as could be… they even decided to have a make out session and each time they kissed Lola would look at me with the biggest smile and just laugh! I swear those two are so in love! When it was time for daddy to go back to work he buckled Lola in and told her to call him if mama isn’t sweet to her!
Oh Lola, all the hours feedings diaper changes and now staying home with you and Daddy is still your number 1.
That night we met Aunt Kayla, Lance and baby Jadyn for a date night at the square!
Lola can’t wait until baby Jadyn an play with her at the play ground…. for now she just sleeps in her stroller- the whole time!
Our new thing is trying to get her good and tired before dinner so she will be somewhat manageable while we eat….
That doesn’t mean it works it just seems like a good idea in our head ;)
After dinner, baby Jadyn had to go home and we must have stayed out until about 10:30!
We partied it up with fun light up goodies and Lola’s first horse and carriage ride!
Lola was in heaven! Daddy isn’t the best camera man but Lola wouldn’t turn around the whole time anyway, she wanted to see the horse actually pulling us the whole time!
The next day was GORGEOUS outside the weather was crisp and what’s even better there was an ART festival! This was probably Lola’s favorite exhibit…. hello ANIMALS! Acorns collecting… fall is officially here!
Then a small miracle occurred.
This was an awful picture but the girl out of nowhere literally just laid her head down on my shoulder! It was the sweetest feeling every and it just so happened when I had Lou take out the camera!
That night we were ready for our first FOOTBALL get together and what two better things are needed than (our first) bon fire and baby Jadyn!
Correction, bon fires, comfy clothes and babies… oh how Saturday nights have changed!
Lola just LOVES laying mommy (poor Aunt Kayla) !
….. and we love fun fall nights at home!
Sunday we wanted to take Lola to a fun new park called Swift – Cantrell which we have heard is super huge and has lots for kids to do!
It was a hit!
Even Milly went with us and went IN the dog park with OTHER DOGS for the first time ever (I thin i have proof on Alex’s phone!)!!
We ended our weekend with dinner at home and quality time with Daddy and Lola…. it was the best cure for a busy week!
That night it seemed appropriate to wear our Halloween pajamas for the first time tonight!
I thought last year was special because it was a FIRST for everything…. well throw that out the window! I was so excited and it was the biggest deal in the household for the entire weekend ;)I also pulled out her Halloween books for the first time and she already has a favorite!
Now onto more of this FALL(ness) coming soon!
