Although I’m posting on a weekend (shocker I know) I’m actually referring to the previous weekend…
What?
Did you really think I was on top of my game?
I told you I was playing catch up!
She is getting more and more brave each time we go!
I think these are my favorite pictures these days :) I love that naps are so easy at the lake! It is mama and daddy’s free time which doesn’t come to often these days!
I prefer relaxing and usually try to talk daddy Lou into doing the same- he complys about 50% of the time!
I comply 100% of the time because when girlfriend is up, she is ready to go!
Lola loved floating with Aunt Taytay but she hates not having her independence! So we let her do her water wings for a bit!
just when we were getting ready for the “Trouse Happy Hour”- the neighbors yelled over that they caught a 17 pound fish! I couldn’t wait to show Lola! I have honestly never seen a fish that big in person!
Our neighbors are super sweet and seem to have happy hour for MUCH more than an hour ;)
This was the view from their dock, they are on point so literally al the windows have a different view!
We decided to head back and try our luck at the whole fishing thing…
Lola thought the crickets were HILARIOUS… I quickly taught her “No, ew, they’re gross and we don’t like that”.
Mission accomplished- we are watchers Lola, you remember that! This mama just likes to take in the views! Only kidding, Lola loved helping the big kids fish!
The next day we enjoyed a full day on the water before heading home and it was SO very nice!
Well you know, until Lola quickly reminded us it was snack time… and then lunch time!
Seriously, look at those legs..
Lou snapped this of his “girls”, so weird to think it’s just us girls now… Daddy Lou and a house of girls… I wonder if this is telling of his future ;) My two girls, this was our first trip ever going anywhere without Tucker and it wa so very hard to think of us “leaving him” or having fun without him…. It’s not been easy moving on without him.
We sure do miss our Tuck. Sweet Mill, I know she misses her sweet brother!
I told her to make a kissy face so she started kissing the camera! Taytay trying her luck fishing from the float! We had such a great weekend and Alex is already ready to go back again, it really is the only place we can go and just BE. No stress and nothing we have to do or see…. not something we are used to but I’m telling you, we could get used to this!
Lola says “and one more thing”:
‘I’m almost 18 months!”
Oyyy don’t remind me!
