We’re actually holding on to a lot more than that lately! Do you realize we have an almost 18 month old baby girl?
Monday she will be 18 months and I can hardly murmur those words out loud….
Now lets vomit these pictures out so I can move on to that sob story of a post (insert crying emoji here)!
No really, don’t you just love that arm hanging out to her nice ride (above)!Oh the toddle days are here!
I’m playing catch up since our sweet TJ passed away and now I am so behind… i mean do you know how much territory this girl covers in one day.
We get NOTHING done. Thankfully Aunt Taytay came to see us last weekend -
I swear she saves all her cuddles for Aunt Taytay..
(can you tell from our amazing cafe 33 experience)… we finally got some things done around the house!
It all starts with a good motivating Home Depot trip!
Our poor basement has been a work in progress to say the least!
It’s actually been more like, oh look Lola was born 18 months ago, the last time we got anything accomplished!
Don’t you love how she supervises!
I mean really, girlfriend has got it going on!
Now you see why every chance we get we GET OUT THE HOUSE…… If Lola is bored that means trouble!
The square is the best cure for that, it’s our second home these days!
Lola now knows when we get to the square, she gets SO excited and can’t stand for us to hold her once she is in sight of it (even if that means across the street)!
(she was obsessed with the moon that day- “ok Lola, ok we see it too”!) I think her favorite part about the play ground is carrying around her snacks while she is there, honestly! She loves them!
Look at that sweet face… al of them.
Some days the square alone isn’t enough and this mama needs her own “pick me up” (it looks legit in a Zaxby’s cup though right)? #badmom #firefly
The last two times we took Lola we saw the train FIRST (this is “out of order” but our Lola tamed her OCD down and did surprisingly well with it).
Daddy Lou usually covers Lola’s ears until the honking stops and now when she see’s it she covers her eyes… close Lola, close! They love watching the choo-choo’s!
She knows the ropes now- “Slide, water fountain and then (usually)choo choo BUT this was the first day i showed her the castle where the princesses live!
Poor Lola she is pretty much the kid who is allowed to go to the party as long as her dad is invited to be the “chaperone”…
This is the covering of the eye I was referring to when Lola hears a train! LolIn other news, we actually DID (believe it or not) make it somewhere besides the square in the last two weeks….
Doesn’t she just make you melt!?!?
This was Daddy Lou’s first time holding her! He had been waiting and waiting since we didn’t get to hold her in the hospital and then she had to be in her little “Jaundice sauna”… so he desperately waited a WHOLE week to hold her!
I think he asked me every day “Can I go see Jadyn today?”
Can you blame him?Ok so maybe our entire family is smitten by her! She has already changed so much in just a few weeks!
A few days later we had our first shopping trip together!
Lola loved being able to peek in on Jadyn and we love having sweet girls to join us on our shopping trips!
The weather has been very hit or miss lately but we have been trying to go to the pool as much as we can even if it’s in the evening when daddy gets home!
Last week I decided to buy water wings for the first time just to see what would happen….. Lola actually did really well with them!
Earlier that day she wasn’t even holding her head out of the water when i let go of her and that evening with Daddy Lou he was a pro!
She LOVED splashing in the water!
Pearls at the pool, that’s my girl!
Lola loves holding our hand lately! It’s the sweetest thing ever, if she wants to go somewhere she is so interested in us going with her!
Sweet little mama! Other than that we have just been doing our best keeping up with this crazy girlfriend and trying to stay a float in our never ending to do lists that come with starting a new business (more on that to come)…. AND trying to get our house “market ready”. It is certainly not for the weary and we are learning all to well it is not for most people who spend the day chasing after a one year old…. BUT we are still chugging along and doing our best to keep up with this busy little bee!
At least we can say we know where she gets it from- her daddy!
Your a doll Lola, a pure doll. I am desperately trying to hold on to every ounce of your “babyness” but you are growing up right before our eyes.
Tomorrow we celebrate the last day you are closer to one than you are two because Monday you turn 18 months old…
Someone hold me.
