Ok, Ok so I’m a bit dramatic…
What’s wrong with that? The girlfriend turned 18 months on Monday so I claimed the weekend before her birthday a depressing celebration of “Our last weekend with a 17 month old”. Yes, we’re that ridiculous.
You better believe when people asked me “Oh how old is she” I proudly replied “ONLY 17 months”! I swear the square was lit up with a party in her honor! With balloons and all!
Saturday we ACTUALLY tried to prove to ourselves that after almost 18 months with you we were “good enough” to accomplish task at home while you awake!
That was short lived before we abandoned ship and headed out for shopping and margaritas to drown our sorrows…
Did I mention another fun fact about 17 months… we no longer even ask for high chairs when we go out to eat with you. Literally, we ask for a booth instead and you just stand (usually on top of me) the entire time…. Yes, really.
Sunday was crunch time! Daddy taught you how to drink from a hose and it was pretty much hilarious!
Milly has been EVERYWHERE with us lately…. She even has gotten so good about sitting outside off of her leash lately! Daddy insisted we do our Sunday square trip even though this mama was exhausted so I agreed only if we bring my Milly girl!
Your welcome Mildred ;)
As soon as she gets there she runs to the steering wheel and screams from the top of her lungs!
Look at these two, I don’t know who is more proud of who :) Love these sisters
Fairy foot print spotting below!! Daddy Lou, what have we done and how did we get here? Our baby girl is turning 18 months old in the morning! The next morning came and we spent it in the most glorious places….
The car dealership to get my car fixed… yes pretty glorious i know! At least we got a new car out of it for a few days! Lola and I like to ride in style ya know!
That afternoon we met daddy Lou and Lolas grampa Bob and Uncle Sean at one of my all time favorites, The cheesecake Factory to celebrate (well for me and Lou at least, his dad was in town for work and may or may not have known this was “Lola’s 18 month birthday dinner) ;)
We’re here! We took her to the mal afterwards to ride in the choo choo train!! Daddy Lou thought the train was a “great” idea until he realized he actually had to get in the train too! She was SO excite and a bit cautious.. Alex thinks I am such a “cheer leader” as he calls it… He says I “cheered” the whole time in the train and you better believe when it was done the conductor had to wait for us check out each section of the train, test out the steering wheel, bell and horn! Then we found the cutest toy shop!
Lola walked right up and kissed the penguin and the store clerk and i instantly said “Omg you are the sweetest”! We are SO into pretend these days! It’s after 6:37 pm making her an offical 18 month old!
The last few days she has been SO into dressing up and putting things on… we got home SO late and I thought she would be exhausted… Girlfriend was wound up and ready to play!
Lets just say we laid together for a VERY long time that night!
In other exciting grown baby news!
Lola had started gymnastics again (after 2 weeks off from her summer session)! She loves it and I do too even more now because it’s in the evening so Daddy Lou gets to join us after work!
This was actually just before her first class and she had not seen Ms. Brittany for TWO whole weeks so she started kicking and screaming before we even got in the parking lot!
She was so excited to have her daddy there and be with Ms. Brittany!
Lola was a pro and did i menton I was getting my hair CHOPPED off so daddy Lou was in charge of getting her dressed and ready for gymanstics He did pretty good and of course had to have her in her professional leotards!
The best part about evening gymnastics is we got to meet Ms Brittany (and her new boyfriend) at Mexican afterwards- Lola was in heaven!!
The very next week Lola had already improved SO much! She actually walked on the balance beam by herself multiple times and HUNG from the bars with NO help!!
“It’s Ok Lou, let go!” Lined up for stamps!
Lola was spoiled again on her “birthday week” with TWO play dates with baby Jadyn! She could could not be more infatuated with everything baby now!!
I am quickly realizing 18 months apart is NOT for me so my mom must have been an octopus with 8 arms because she did it twice! But oh do we love our baby Jadyn time!
We even got to have Charisa (Lolas first nanny) over to see GROWING baby Ethan! It’s official, he is the cutest baby boy i have ever seen!! Charisa always says she wishes she could attend our tea parties and be girly so we threw one just for her!
I think Lola has prepared both of them for the toddler days ahead….. One if FUN huh Lola :) We’re always into something and we have lots of opinions about what we do…. including wearing our slippers at all times. I will say that although she has won the fight about wearing them outside of the house… We have not been in “public” (yet) so I consider myself winning the war.
