We celebrated October First with a day of running errands together in pumpkin shirts because…what else do you do on October 1st!?!?
That night Alex’s mom was in town so we went out to the square for a fun dinner outside to enjoy the amazing weather! We were so happy to not be out of town that weekend so we raced to the pumpkin patch that morning for another eventful “Lola First”!
I guess every baby has that year where the pumpkins are all bigger than her……
This was the weekend we realized… our child needs shoes…. like not to just be cute but actually needs them… oh god.
This growing up thing really is for the birds!
Time for a hayride to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin!
Most pumpkins were bigger than Lola, she didn’t know what to make of them! Oh look a baby Lola pumpkin, I remember when you were that size in mommy’s belly!
My love for Fall just got sweeter. Bless her heart, the girl needs sunglasses….
We decided to bring home the cutest pumpkin we could find …….
..and I’d say we did just that! Lola loved her pumpkin costume, she lit up when we put it on her!
I swear this child KNOWS she is cute!
Can you tell we’re trying to get in all of our Orange while we can!?!? It’s so weird to think she will NEVER wear it again…. ok moving on… that statement was too much!
I will say Lola is getting better and better at joining me for Salon days… yes I say days because I am up there for HOURS!!
I said better…. she is still a baby so this calls for a family affair! Thankful to Kayla for always having another set of hands around and daddy Lou who comes to my rescue after work! The next day it was time to decorate the house…. Lola and I sat down on the kitchen floor to open the fall boxes and the first thing I saw was this letter….
Oh how i remember sitting down with a big, giant, uncomfortable belly last year just WISHING she would get here and make our life complete. I wanted to put every holiday on hold until she was here and now she is…. I still pinch myself DAILY.. does it ever get old or even “normal”!?!?!
Ohh I could live this life forever with you Lola! I just want to bottle up all the smiles, smells and sweet moments you give to us to have them with me forever and ever!
You are the BEST thing.
On that note, we got dressed and ready to go get more pumpkins!!
Ta-Daaaaa!
On that note I should probably get a better picture of Lola with the front porch display! ;) No offense Lo!
I will say we have found Lola’s new go to activity! now that the mosquito's are FINALLY gone she sits on the porch for house playing with these pumpkins!
Hey they aren’t a choking hazard and they keep her happy! You would be surprised what we consider a “toy” these days!
Lolas Aunt Diane’s FAVORITE holiday is Halloween and she got her the cutest Halloween outfit!! We tried to wait as long as we could to put it on her so she could have time to “grow into it” but it’s officially too big! Who knew Lola wouldn’t fit into a size 6 month bloomer at almost 9 months! No worries, we exchanged it for the perfect size for next year until then more orange please!
Oh yes and we pretty much have made Pumpkin bread for daddy like every three days! #addicted
Sunday after kaylas wedding we were struggling to get out of our PJ’s but as nice as it feels to be home and relax (as much as you can relax with an 8 month old) i feel like there is a count down on how many days are left of fall so out the door we go!
Daddy Lou and I had decided to explore the ever so cute downtown Woodstock which is apparently the new thing over the last two years…. we live ten minutes away and have never been!
It didn’t take us long to snag a super cute lunch spot!
I’ll drink my lunch please ;) Mimosas are SO my new go to regardless what time of day it is ever since Kayla’s shower!
My lunch dates- Lola looks so demanding!
“Oh God more kisses” Family selfie and onto shopping!
Lou is teaching Lola the art of “waiting on mommy” trust your dad Lola… he has perfected it (yes she is playing with a bucket we found in the store)!
Troop-er. Our child isn’t spoiled at all… fare warning of overboard pictures ahead!
We took Lola on the tour to see all of the scarecrows downtown and she was infatuated with this one… she LOVES other babies so I think she related to the very creepy miniatures hanging off this one!?!?
I think I may need a hobby.
I can’t believe Halloween is only two days away!! We have enjoyed our little pumpkin SO much this month! We can’t wait to trick or treat with you this year Lola! Happy Halloween!-
