Not the best picture and not the best way to start our official vacation post BUT it just had to be posted.
Why?
Oh only because we got ALL fancied to take family beach pictures our first day of vacation only for it to downpour on us about 30 seconds after this picture.
It rained for about 5 minutes AS SOON AS we walked on to the beach so Lola and I hid under a lifeguard stand before calling it quits!
We were drenched, cancelled the pictures and then the sky turned beautiful and the rain stopped…
Naturally these two were happy as could be about it all and Alex (as much as he HATES pictures) was dying to do some original drenched in the rain pictures!
Lord help me!
If I didn’t have a hole 8 days to do enjoy just being with these two I probably would have balled! We rescheduled and kept it moving, on to our first night of celebrating at Crab Shack!
Lola LOVED feeding the alligators!!
Speaking of crab stew… our first day there Taytay and Vince met us for a crabbing/boat day and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!
More than that we were pulling in crabs left and right!
Three in one net and we pulled them up every 2 mutes I would say!
Tara told me I would be famous if I held the actual crab up. It was a pretty picture worthy moment!
Lola was doing good until someone dropped a crab I the boat and I SCREAMED so loud that she then freaked out!!
We found the best sand bar too!
The clouds could not have been painted a prettier blue!
…nd this little girl could NOT e any cuter!
We were all shocked that sister didn’t mind walking in the muck!
Sister FELL IN LOVE with the cutest little pup and best of all got to hold it! Did they not make the sweetest photo shoot!
Love the colors in this sweet picture!
Our first night out ALWAYS has to be San Miguels followed by a Dance party n Shelter Cove!
Sister heard party and had to bring her party hat!
Here’s some of our favorite Lola moves!
Our first morning started with the nicest stormy weather! So we hit the beach with our breakfast muffins and candy corn in tow… lol Isn’t it bad when you finally talk your hubby into taking time off work but it’s already almost Fall!?
Morning Glories, the beauty of having children and waking up early these days!
It was the best morning and we had the entire beach to ourselves!
We headed back and packed up for a busy day at the beach!
Sister was SO proud of her first find: a starfish!!
I didn’t notice the hovering-ness until putting this blog together- but it’s pretty evident looking back….that sweet Daddy Lou is always close by!
It ended up being a FULL day at the beach after a nap and re-packing of items we headed back down at dinner time to have a little beach night “in”!
It was literally the most beautiful day, morning, noon and night!
It was truly a gorgeous night and sister had so much fun!
Alex showed me a new app on his phone that night and I had the BEST time putting together a bunch of these little videos.. it’s my new obsession and now he’s upset he showed me because his phone is always dead!
Lol Welcome to my life I tell him!
Here’s one of our favorites… love, love love, this little girl!
