Is this what normalc feels like- I think I saw a glimpse of it!?
Lazy days have a whole new meaning and a whole new appreciation behind them lately! I was so glad to be home after 4 evening shifts to be home with my girl the next 4 days AND nights!
We were honestly SO lazy and so excited for our long weekend all together!
Is there anything that bets Snachats new filters on a lazy pajama day!?
Lola got so much time to play with all of her new toys (don’t you just ove our new cupcakes from Uncle Andy and Aunt Rachel and our new doll house from Gigi?!)
I think it took us about 48 hours to recover before we could leave the house again to get back in the groove of things! Our motivation for the grocery store trip was preampted by a lunch day with Baby J and her mama at our favorite!
(Lola got even more sweet birthday presents at lunch from Aunt Kaylas mama and daddy- we love puzzles!!)
Lola even tried to steal some kisses from Miss grabby hands!
People think we’re kidding when we say we don’t know how we will add more children to this brood… we’re not. We’re really THAT incapable people.
Well that or my child is wild enough to equate to three small boys.
You would think we deserved a reward after a trip to the grocery… we think so too.
When we think the word “reward” that really just means what flavor cookie dough?
I had seen a pinterest recipe for flourless peanut butter cookies and I thought they would be perfect for Lola and I to whip up!
So Friday bake session it was with my favorite taste tester!
Im obsessed with the little braid she ets me put in her hair now since watching Else on Frozen… isn’t she the cutest!
She also cracked my egg without me even knowing! She did it perfectly and didn’t get a single shell in the dough!
Our cookies were ready just in time for daddy to be home and Lola and Mimi were on the lookout!
I almost melted in the process, Lola was so concerned about blocking the sun from Mimi’s eyes (she went and got Milly sun glasses) and then she was off to meet her boyfriends and go feed the quacks!
I call them Lolas boyfriends AKA adopted grampas, they ove on her nd spoil her rotten and she LOVES them both and calls them both by name!
Mr. Henry even found a egg for Lola, she kept yelling at the quacks that they forgot their baby!
Lola was so excited when we checked the mail after walkign home… she got a post card from Uncle B! She talks constantly about him flying on the airplane and feeding elephants and she instantly yelled “THANKS B”… lol
It was the perfect Friday, pizza and puzzles!
Saturday we decided to step up our game and drag daddy Lou out the house for a lunch and park play date! He has become quite obsessed with getting the house ready to be put on the market and although i’m not complaining I also take my days home with my family that much more seriously since working so much lately!
So off we go!
The weather was perfect and you know these two CAN NOT STAND for baby Jadyn to not come out and play with them!We got lucky too because as soon as we got there the train went by! Daddy has to be the one to cover Lolas ears and the train just has to be their thing- not mommys’!
Slide time! Lola was so excited she personally made AUnt Kayla get baby J out to slide with her!
…and Lou had to test out her walking legs lol
These two are so funny! Jadyn kept flling into Lola and Lola was thinking they were being sweet and eaning into each other lol
I just love having this mama to do mama-hood with and I love these sweet girls growing to do more and more together!
I am loving all of sweet Jadyns smiles lately!
I even coerced her mama to let her sit in her first high chair IN PUBLIC that day at lunch!
She is getting to be such a big girl!
W
Monday we had a sweet date before it was back to the grind! I love how their ates ar changing, 3 more months and we will REALLY be chasing them around… how crazy is that!?!
(Lola loes showing Jadyn how to “use” her lovies ear)
Tuesday I was back for my last 4 day stretch and missing these two like crazy! They love their time together but miss their mama!
My parents are thankfully here this week to be a bit of a distraction for Lola so she (I hope) doesn’t notice im gone quite so much!
So far she hasn’t let mom ou of her sight… by that I mean literally mom has not been allowed to walk to the refrigerator if Lola is at the kitchen table with out her screaming “GEEGEE!”
I don’t think my mama minds!
