We were so excited to have a 2 day work week to head to the lake but we were so sad about leaving behind our other half!
Tucker and Milly have not been left with a dog sitter since Lola’s been born and you know i have tried so hard to make sure they don’t associate ANY change being due to Lolas arrival…. so I was a nervous wreck!
I think we sat on the stairs telling Tucker bye for 20 minutes…. Milly was pouting starring at the front dorr and to be honest… I was avoiding her, I couldn’t bare to look at her face while we left!
Eventually we made it out the door, into the car and into the car just in time for a nap… did I mention I plan EVERYTHING now…. yeah well we were there before we knew it!
Neyney had found quite the set up for us this year in a fancy little “Trouse”.. short for trailer house! We settled in and soon after were wisked away by Josh to join the crew at the island were all the goodies had been set up!
I was so nervous about Lola being on a boat but I will say her calmness rubbed off on me…. she kind of froze when i initially put the jacket on her but absolutely loved it as long as the boat was moving!
We made it and Lola was so excited to see her pool float had made it too!
KK couldn’t wait to hold her!
Yes Lola and Emery matched! We love this crew and their need for every toy you could imagine! Lou and his two necessities, Lola and a sandwich! Thursday was out first full day at the Lake and let me tell you things sure have changed since pre babies but I LOVED getting to share all the mommy moments with the most helpful friends a girl could ask for! You can never have enough hands when your a mom and you can never have enough kisses if your Lola!
Since it was our FULL day out in the sun I was so excited about Lola’s new bathing suit! It covered her completely so I didn’t have to use sunscreen except on her face and just made sure to keep a hat on her!
It honestly relieved a 100 pounds of stress to have that swimsuit!
That evening we were still out and got a call that Aunt Tara had arrived!! We were all pretty excited to have her there…. especially the Mamas… lets be honest Tara has a way with kids and we are all for that!
It was such a process getting home each evening, all the babies got bathed, fed and for Lola and Emery put to bed! Then the adults go to eat and sadly most nights we drifted off not to far after the Harper and KK…. yes we have gotten old!
What can i say though we were resting up for Friday (the actual fourth) it was serious business! Joe, Stephanie and Jdub had arrived and our crew was officially complete!
We should mention we owe our ONLY non baby pic to Tara who was probably entertaining half the kids! Lola thought it was so funny that she learned how to pull her paci out of her mouth, she didn’t think it was so funny when she attempted to get it back in though!
Floating with Aunt Tara was often short lived…..!
Due to the “older” girls who quickly learned how to recruit Miss Tara- they were IN love!
No worries I taught Lola how we lay out like a lady and relax!
She fit right in! Happy girl, she also loved to stand up and feel the sand between her toes!
We’re trying to teach Lola how to give “hugs”…. typically she is WAY too busy for that kind of thing!
We settle for kisses usually, they’re quicker!
Lou actually got Lola to take a nap on the float…. she loved the motion!!
Lola so has a love hate relationship with naps…. you and me both girl friend!
KK and Harper were quite the water worms this year!
Lola loved her Aunt Stephanie time and asked for a cousin very soon!
Let me just say i am SO glad I bought Lola 3 fourth of July outfits, a fourth of July bathing suit, that still had the tag on it and 4th of July shoes which i forgot to put on her!
Did you hear the sarcasm in that?
I didn’t even remember to put the shoes on her with the one outfit i threw on her before she went to bed (that she only wore to take this picture) ugh!
We put Lola to bed and it was time to get serious! I LOVE Ms Georgette’s cooking but I leave feeling as big as a house… or trouse (doublewide of course), after one weekend of eating all her yummy cooking!
KK was so sweet, she even bought a headband for Lola!
Girls pic! (Notice Josh wanted to get the “full camping experience” so he set up shop with his tent right behind our trouse! Don’t let him fool you he still had an AC unit in it!
Saturday Morning the boys (minus Lou) did a little fishing and we had a little advertising photo shoot with Lola and Aunt Taras famous coffee!
Ok that's not all we did, we headed down to the dock to see if we could help them bring in their big catch!
We all (unfortunately) wake up early enough to go on walks and things like that in the morning now thanks to our kiddos and the perk of that is by far the weather! It felt like Fall outside and we couldn’t get enough of it!
Harper was so interested in Lola it was so sweet and Emery makes me so EXCITED to see Lola at (almost) this age next year!
We couldn’t steal Lola away from Aunt Stephanie if we tried!
Can we hire you!?!?!? Harper LIVES in her princess dress!
Last day out and we had to at least TRY and get a pic of all the girls together… Stephanie you don’t think for a chance you stand to make a boy do you!!??!?!?
Back to the island we go…. Or so we thought… it was TAKEN!
Lola didn’t mind, she got in extra time on Jdubs boat and fell fast asleep cruisin!
Yup, she fell asleep standing straight up like that… so did my arm!
Aren’t they the sweetest sleeping beauties… well kind of sleeping…. you can imagine which one my child is right…. the AWAKE one (unless we’re moving of course)!
I really should have SAT down more in my pregnancy!
Poor Lola she was such a trooper all week!
It still amazes me how everything happens ALL OF A SUDDEN with babies! When we got home Sunday I noticed she started reaching for EVERYTHING! Now looking back at these pics she had really started doing it here on Saturday!!!
So sad to say goodbye to our little piece of heaven and our favorite crew of people but as always, it’s only until next year!
I have to say though, the kiddos were so well behaved and it was so nice having them all together! I so hope in the future they start to look forward to going to the lake with us all together and making their own memories with each other!
We packed up and headed out because as you can see this one here was READY for a big long nap! She slept almost the entire way home an an hour over a feeding! She would have slept longer but i panicked and woke her up to feed her! lol
We hope you enjoyed your first Lake experience sweet Lola! Just wait until next year when you will be able to eat pancakes like the other “big kids”!
We’re so thankful for moments shared with good friends having another Happy Fourth!
