If you have met me you now must understand the perseverance Lola has instilled in me when seeing the above picture.…. well that and the blessing of having an entertained baby!
Five months ago I would have never even taken it out of the box without Alex home!
As a mama you learn to do just about anything to occupy a baby and make them happy! Even if that means assembling a 58974390275 piece exercauser right NOW instead of waiting an hour for Lou to get home!
Speaking of keeping this little nugget entertained…
Oh how I love my helpers and I now understand the statement “It takes a village”!
After 4 months of Lance being scared (of me) to hold Lola I picked her up and sat her in his lap…. he froze… said “woah” and then kissed her head over and over while she sat in his lap! They are naturals now!
Speaking of a natural, I have always felt I was a natural at multi tasking and efficiency sine working my first job out of school with substance abuse but DAMN.
Try working from home on occasion while WATCHING and keeping a baby alive with an over emotional and needy dog.
Lola may think I’m super mommy but Milly is not impressed!
The many faces of Lola!
we have broken Lola in quite successfully to get on the mexican train! We typically go every friday night, a week or so ago jeff walked in and sat at our table, we asked how he knew we were there and he said…. “really?”
I guess we’re a bit predictable!
Kyl an dI usually talk the boys in to taking lola on an “adventure” which usually leads them to home depot while we race to get our nails done!
A margarita fix and nails done all before Lolas bedtime is a win even on Fathers Day! No worries we spent the rest of the weekend “strictly” celebrating this guy!
Tj asked that we not forget who made him a very F?IRST daddy 9 years ago- We love you TJ!
So Saturday we headed out to a wakeboard park in Acworth for the boys to have some macho time while Lola cheered them on!
It was a brand new park and they have zip lines that take you around the “track”… we loved it but preferred more shade to cheer on Daddy Lou!
Go Daddy Lou! This was after a fall… poor Lou he said it was way harder than being towed by a boat!
Talk about Poor Lou… this was his “Fathers Day Lemon Pound Cake”… I swear it tasted good it just looked terrible!
So we made up for it by taking Lou to his two favorites Sunday… Cafe 33 and Home depot!
Then it was home to spend the rest of the day playing away in our Jammies!
Thanks for our sweet dress Aunt Tara!
Lola and Lou had lots of mini dates leading up to Fathers day and Lola even watched her first World Cup in daddy’s lap! You are quite a daddy’s girl and LOVE when daddy gets home from work… as daddy says… “It’s play time!”
You have gotten so good about your night night sleep and you know its time for bed as soon as we change you into your jammies (on the days we make it out of our jammies that is.…. quite often we go to bed and change from our morning jammies into night night jammies because we are just that good!)
We take a bath about every other night but you always know we put your jammies on and it’s boob, bottle, birp, book and then sound machine on lights off and cuddle and rock until you drift to sleep! You look so tiny sleeping in your big giant crib and at night I go back into your room and sneak your lovies out because I’m so scared for you to sleep with anything but you love nuzzling your face against them!
It’s so hard not to swoop you up and bring her into our room!
Daddy Lou was so excited to celebrate his first real fathers day this year! It’s no wonder why, he has been quite the daddy so far and is so PROUD to be your daddy!
We saw another baby the other day and at 4 months the parents were so proud to share with us he had slept his second night in a row “through the night”! We “celebrated” with them and then got in the car to drive off and Alex mentioned how bad he felt for other parents bc not only is Lola such a good baby and (typically) such a good sleeper she is “honestly just so beautiful” according to Lou!
Lola, I can’t wait to one day tell you all about how much he cared for you even before he met you! Thank you for helping me give huim a wonderful first fathers day! Your the best part of our family and you have truly made us a family!
