We were so excited to hit the road again for Lola first trip to Florida! It was Lou and I’s first trip to Fernandina all together so we got to share in first time experience with Lola!
Tara gave us a tour of downtown Fernandina when we arrived and Lola loved all the sights, smells, sunshine and cool breeze!
We literally argue over who gets to hold her in pictures and who is in the pictures with her…..
The waterfront restaurant was so cute and right on the Marina so it was perfect to put Lola to sleep while we ate lunch outside!
Is it normal to go on vacations simply to eat as much yummy food as possible right!?!?! These shrimp salad croissants were to die for oh yes and thanks to cafe 33 were all obsessed with kettle chips! Lola has gotten so much more cuddly with me lately, I can’t get enough, she woke up from her nap and just wanted to be held and she loves the wind blowing on her!
We finished eatting and guess who woke up!
We got back to the condo to check on the pups and then Lola and mommy decided it was perfect timing to sneak in some birthday decorations for the condo complete with chocolate nuggets from her little nugget! Then we hit the beach!
Lola looks like such a chunk in this one! Family pic!
First non Lola pic in 4 months!
Sometimes the crying pics are the best!
I guess we like Hilton Head water better than Florida water?
Lola says there is no shame in a muffin top!
Thank God for a husband who doesn’t mind being in the shade! Lola loved our walks on the beach and tent time!
When Lola fell asleep it was time for him to entertain KK… I swear we are good parents were just really desperate to get a tan!
Traveling with a baby has been an interesting task… I didn’t pack a bathtub so this was our alternative after the beach everyday!
Poor baby, she usually LOVES bathtime but hated that she didn’t have her own tub… she was not falling for the share with mommy thing! Please child do not be independent!
KK was such a good helper for Lola! She would give her a paci, her bottle and even enjoyed holding Lola!
Aunt Taras First birthday night out- in Fernandina!
Renee accidently taught me a little magic trick while we were on the way to the restaurant, she rubbed Lolas lovie around her face and Lola fell asleep instantly! Thanks Ney! Lola has slept with her lovie every single night since this trip!
Dinner at Peppers and it was SO good!
Get naked, change clothes and ice cream after dinner… totally normal right?
The next day we were struggling! Ever sincce Lola has moved out of our room she has slept straight through the night and having her share a room with us was torture for her “she slept in the same room as her favorite food cooking” if ya know what i mean! So by 7 am we had all given up on sleep!
Didn’t seem to slow Lola down! We were off to the beach! Lauryn and her fiance came to meet us for the day… well lets be honest she came to meet Lola! She was a natural and it was so good visiting with her!
I love being so close to the beach and being able to have the pups there, this picture below of Milly is just too much…. Lola is more than likely on my hip and she is more than likely thinking “I dare you to come over here with thtat baby and take this moment away from me”.
At-ta-tude.
My blue eyed girl! Time for dinner round 2 at The Surf! It was the most 80’s place we have ever been too, so naturally Ney fit right in ;) It was actually an old hotel… hell it may still be a hotel… either way it was a very cool concept and great atmosphere!
They have an oldies band playing music and Lou took KK and Lola to dance!
Sunday Morning it poured down rain and we headed home!
The only way to travel during the day with a baby is lots of pit stops so we made our favorite one before dropping off Aunt Tara ….El Som! Thank heavens for sleepy baby on car rides!
Until next time Fernandina, thanks for helping us celebrate Taras 30th!
