We have had so much going on lately so here’s what we were doing “in between times”
- not to be confused with not important times!
We had some good company come to town and had a mexican kind of night!
My girlies! Spent some time with this cutie! We While the family was in town for Andy and Rachels first bridal shower we got everyone partly together to spend the anniversary of Adam’s passing at Joes for brunch- In case you aren’t familiar with Joes on Juniper let me just tell you….
It doesn’t get anymore flaming than this- even the menu is revealing! Adam would have loved it!
We sure do miss you Adam, you are thought of and missed everyday and your sense of humor lives on in every ridiculous story we think of at usually the most awkward/inappropriate time ever!! Haha We wouldn’t have it any other way though!
The same day as Adams brunch i had to make a run for Savannah without my Lou for the Georgia School of Addictions conference that was being held at the Hyatt all week!
I had such mixed feelings about going, I was thrilled for the week ahead knowing how refreshing the week would be… just the idea of being around other counselors in the field, learning new things and best of all getting away from 32 needy clients that truly believe you were put in this world to be at their beck and call and solve all their problems by snapping your fingers (wow, that was a rant, i must be more frustrated than i think?!?!) was exciting!
The icing on top of the cake was spending time with my sister, family and my old co-worker Nina who was going to be my roomie for the week!
I was so sad to leave Lou all week but time really did fly by spending it with these cuties!
I’m pretty sure I gained a minimum of 10 pounds in Savannah!
Ok maybe 15? Side note: One of the most odd professors at the conference ended up being my teacher in class on the last day….. these were some of his credentials:
I think i learned more in that class by analyzing him than I did about the lesson he was speaking on….
Savannah was wonderful but I was more than thrilled to get home to these cuddle bugs!
…. and hi my sweet adorable man!
I was thinking the other day how ever single expression this child ever makes is for a reason….. they all mean something and convey her point.
Whatever it happens to be in that moment…
Anyway, we spent our last few weekends of “summer” lounging at the pool trying our best to get a last minute tan, rafting down the river (Rachel actually jumped off the “cliff”), hiking Kennesaw mountain & spending time with family at Alex’s moms pig roast!! Look closely and you can see her!
I love this picture… Everyone doing their own thing and baby Avery sleeping through it all!
My mom isn’t the only one in love with baby Avery!
After the pig roast we made a trip over to see Tara’s new house that she is having built… YAY TAY!
I swear it’s flying together so fast!
I can see Fall just around the corner and I’m starting to get those jittery feelings of excitement with the pumpkins flying up, leaves falling, weather changing and my sweet tooth kicking in!
So Alex and I spent our first weekend “off” duty from any type of event at the farmers market and watching air planes and the Clemson game!
Fall happens to bring on another bad habit of mine….
Food!
This is my desk at work…. Sad i know!
Speaking of working my last announcement is bitter sweet…
Two wonderful clinicians left us last week (top two in picture) due to a grant ending and they are so badly missed- our office may never be the same- still crazy- just not the same!
We love you Trish and Nadine- I know your both going to go on to do bigger and better things with your skills and you certainly served our clients with the best care possible!
In more exciting news this kid got a new job!
Good bye Frito Lay and hello new opportunity!
Andy will start working for Dell Secure Works on Monday as a salesman and will be a married man in less than 3 weeks!
Ok well i hope your completely overwhelmed now that i shrugged about 15 pounds off my shoulders by throwing up this blog!
Ahh it almost feels as good as cleaning out a closet!
Nite!
