The doors and windows are open, candles are burning, we just cooked and ate the best chili ever, Halloween movies have us freaked out and cuddled up and crafty ideas are completed!
We had two more reasons to get excited this weekend with Autumns birthday party and Kayla being home from Thailand!!
Thanks for the picture steal Andy and Rachel ;)
After coming home from work, cleaning up tucker and Millys mess from getting into the trash and then being locked out the house for an hour until Lou got home from work left us late and camera-less for the party!
My bad!
Kayla arrived at my house just before Lou did so we got to be locked out together and get a head start to catching up!Oh how i have missed my Kayla!
Welcome home boo and happy birthday Autumn!
Saturday night we got a little pinterest activity accomplished that i have been wanting to make (ask Alex to make) for a while!
A jewelry holder!
We bought a cork board and replaced it with a wooden background and wrapped the wood with insulation, burlap and then stapled two metal gutter shields on the sides (for earrings)!
We decided to go with gutter shields because Home depot only sold LARGE amounts of chicken wire 9(which is another option) and their aluminum panels were insanely expensive… Gutter shields were only $2 a piece!
Then of course the only thing left is to pick out cute handles to hang the jewelry from!
Lou was a bit distracted and took some random timeouts to watch football clips!
I tried to get something for necklaces, bracelets and the gutter shields are of course for the earrings (the bronze cuff in the middle is for stud earrings that you cant poke through the burlap).
Time to make sure all my jewelry fits on it! All of a sudden Tucker and Milly were excited to see what their daddy had built!
Wah-la my jewelry rack!
Stephanie and Joe were in town!!
We spent the day with them on Saturday and enjoyed brunch at Einsteins complete with Mimosas and pumpkin cinnamon bread that was AHHH-mazing!!! After getting our belllies full we headed to Stone Mountain for (basically) all of our first times!
Alex hates pictures but if you tell him it’s Stephanie and Joes turn to take a picture he instantly thinks he is included and that his presence is wanted in the picture…..Going up the sky lift!
Joe is so sweet he was checking to make sure Stephanie’s ears were clean! Such an explorer. Lou was still upset he didn’t get to climb to the top…. but i felt pretty accomplished just riding in the sky lift!
We are absolutely awful at coming up with silly poses Stephanie!
Those boys were such dare devils…. ugh makes me nervous!
What a day we had at Stone Mountain, I would love to go again at night time for the lazer show and bring Julian (note to self)!
One day!
Anyway, we absolutely loved having you guys here and you know you are welcome anytime!!
No turning back on Fall now, it’s here! Many more fun outdoor post to come!!
Goodnight and happy Fall!
