This was our setting for almost every evening- yes I made sure we not only ate every meal outside but outside, overlooking water!
We had the perfect beach weather and got to enjoy it with all of our favorite people!
Here’s a glimpse of our beach days…
I have to mention….Alex and I actually swam in the ocean this trip… like swam, swam… every day we were there… I haven’t done that in years and always forget how fun it is! We also found about 10 sand dollars each time! Lauren and Alex went sailing on our last day and I hear it was quite the trip… AKA.. not a relaxing trip more of a “work” or we will flip over trip…. glad I didn’t go!Think I took enough beach pictures?
Ok, ok onto the next!
As you all know, I am a huge fan of traditions and 5 o’clock Pina coladas while getting ready for dinner was no different!
Our first night there was Fourth of July and we decided to have a picnic at Broad Creek to watch the fire works with Ana, Alex, Billy, Angela and Billy'’s friend Zach!
As promised I got a picture of Billy and Angela and we were so happy we could over lap some of our time together in Hilton Head before they headed back to Phili!
We miss you two already!!
Ana and Alex were so excited about the fireworks and would you believe Ana and I had all the same “that’s my favorite one!” fireworks!?!?! Go figure!
Thursday Night was date night at Hurricane Bar :)
Our only AWFUL picture together of the night but i guess i will take what I can get :)
Friday Night Alexs Dad and Jane took us out for Happy Hour that lasted ALL NIGHT LONG- Yes, it was amazing, not to mention a cool breeze over looking the water and live music!
I think Alex, Bob and I downed about 5 Mango Mojito’s each that night… they were AMMMMMAZING!
Saturday was Ana’s birthday so Alex and I did a little “teeny bopper” shopping and I had the absolute best time ever reverting to my teeny bopper phase (that some argue I may still be in)! Alex swore I was shopping for myself!
All that shopping worked up an ice cream break!
That night was birthday Party Time! Ana turned 9!!!
This was Ana’s “Give me your best Birthday pose” … she went and got her cell phone! My baby is so grown up!
…and so silly!
Oh yes, Peaches was a part of Ana’s cookout party too.. she is a kisser! I think everyone was scared of the Peaches attack!
I was so excited to meet Ana’s sweet new friend Mia who came over for the party…….
Mia bakes… how cute and sweet is this!!
More importantly how cute (and sweet) are these two!
Happy birthday sweet Ana! Thank you for promising to always be my baby.. well you know until your 42 :) I love you!
Sunday it was time to pack it up and go home to the babies but not before getting our favorite Mexican in… La Hacienda!
Well that post only took about two weeks!
Now that we are mid into July I have to post this in time to say:
Happy birthday daddy! Congrats on coming down with Dyslexia and pulling off turning 56 as oppose to 65 this year!
Whew, time for bed! Sorry for the delay; I have been in over drive lately determined to find a house for us every time i sit at the computer and it’s just not happening but it sure has been consuming my time lately! Were taking another break from house hunting this weekend to spend the weekend in Asheville for Daddys birthday so i promise to be quicker when I come back with pics!
