Oh yes! Another catch up!
It’s amazing what ONE slow night t work will do for your To Do list!
In August we finally got him, it took all summer and another trip to China with ALL of his bosses promising him ANYTHING if he just keeps working (relentlessly) so it finally happened!
We took off the first chance we got and headed to the beach!
Even in the middle of demolition with our fixer upper!
God help us.
Don’t you worry, we had an entire wagon and chairs off to the right that didn’t get captured in our picture lol
Auntie Amber met baby Lox and Lola was SO excited to play with her cousins! No really, SO excited!
Lox even got in the water for the first time with daddy!
We always take a day away from the beach to take Sissy to see her Gingerbread and the lighthouse!
Lola had eaten chocolate ice cream before riding Gingerbread and it was COVERING her mouth- she couldn’t wait to take off though so away she went!
This time the water was low enough where Sissy was able to find tons of conch shells under the lighthouse!
The picture below made my heart skip a beat…. the last time we were here I went straight home to take a pregnancy test because while we were out that day I felt a dizzy flutter and KNEW it must be him!
I was right- It was FINALLY positive after a rough few month, pregnant! Now here he is!
Brothers face above crack me up and below I could just SQUEEZE!
Those porch naps give me all the heart emojis!
Our night in Hilton Head is always going to Harbour Town so Lola can Dance, this night we got to meet Jammy and Nutty for Mexican so that’s always a win win!
The next day was deemed swimming lesson day for Lola! It sounds bad but with Lou working so much he literally never had time with her in the pool to teach her and she REFUSED to do swimming lessons after three failed attempts at even getting in the pool with the instructor!
So daddy Youtubed it and here we are noodle and all!
The next day Gigi and Poppy came to visit and she was so excited to show them! She was already swimming without her wings!
We took a little break from the water to take a walk down the beach with Lola while Gigi had Lox and Alex and I both just SOAKED her up…. it was our first chance getting her alone all week and we just ate her up!
She turned three and a half that day and it was the best present this mama and daddy could have given ourselves- time with just her!
She brought all of her supplies and was so excited about finding jelly fish, sea shells and going to Neyney’s beach! She talked WAY too much about being a big girl and reminding me how big she is which just makes this mama a mess… this little girl is just dying to grow up so fast and I couldn’t be further from wanting that.
I was so grateful for our time with her though, for all of my time with her- it’s just never enough.
That was our (unplanned) last day at the beach! The forecast was nothing but rain the remainder of the week and we had SO much waiting on us at home so we packed up and headed back with our little beach bums!
Bless his heart!
Oh and yes he fell asleep like that on daddy lol
Don’t you just love how Lola perfected the tourist look
It was THE BEST having our daddy Lou completely work free for the first time in probably more than a year! Lox made sure we didn’t get too comfy bc his reflux was probably the worst it has been the entire time on that very trip! Go figure!
We wouldn’t call it a relaxing trip but it was much needed and we were able to get Sissy out and check off all of our Hilton Head bucket list items so we would call that a success!
Moving right long with our catch ups (finally)!
