We had our third annual go at the Easter egg hunt with Sprayberry this year and it was the first time Lola was actually able to GET IT!!
Girlfriend was fierce with collecting those eggs (and so proud)!
I can’t tell you how may times a day Lou and I tell each other “we have quite possibly raised the most confident little girl in the world”!
I think mom took this… Apparently this little boy had something serious to show me… (not sure if it was a boo boo or if he saw me taking care of one of Lola’s?) Either way he came up to me out of the blue and was VERY persistent that I address him and his issue… he was intensely listening to everything I said and was SO cute!
Lola however quickly pointed out to him that I was her mama and we sent him back to his mama… girlfriend is a clinger.
Lola was saying “cheeeeese” behind her pop!
We had to stop for some bumble bee face paint action!
Then you have daddy with his never ending stomach and constant “complaint” that he can’t gain enough weight…. mom and I LOVE hearing all about that problem!
Lola was so WILD so we actually thought of getting “baby-less” pic… she came RUNNING to cling to my leg- really Lola!
Sister loved it all!
We almost missed the helicopter dropping off ALL the eggs (it’s about 3 hours after the egg hunt and this mama wanted to squeeze in and off site brunch and come back- it was chilly!) but thankfully we made it back in the nick of time!
Naturally this was a “daddy in charge” activity!
Mama always has these genius ideas to bake cookies “real quick” BEFORE nap time… you may think I am crazy but that way I have her nap time to clean up the mess!
See, there is a method to my madness!.
We held off to color eggs after nap and Lola found her little bunny hat from last year and I absolutely melted! Thanks again Aunt Diane!
Then she deemed we all needed a hat to color the eggs! Thank you Lola but mama does not look near as cute as you sweet girl!
Daddy figured out a way to work his tools into coloring eggs… go figure! I will say it worked quite nicely and Lola loved watching the plastic melt to it!
Sunday came and daddy woke up bright and early to play Easter bunny!
Lola was SO excited to see the Water table Gigi and Poppy got her!!
We got our act together (slightly) and she could not WAIT to make it to Mr. Raj’s house to feed her quacks!
Mr. Henry joined us and I swear those two are her grampa’s we didn’t know we needed! Mr. Henry hid eggs for her in his yard and they held “toys” (aka souvenirs) in them from Nepal, Afghanistan and Egypt!
How sweet, I love their relationship and how she yells “HENNNN” when she see’s him!
Lola was so excited! Her night was topped off by Uncle B calling and face timing us and she had to show him each thing she got from Mr. Henry!
Before dinner we had Gigi’s cake to make!
Lola was in charge of decorating, mom suggested we put eyes on the lamb but we decided to cover lambie with the jelly beans instead!
It turned out SO cute and Lola was SO proud!
Would you believe poppy tried to eat our master piece!?! After dinner we decided he could cut out a middle piece of the belly and put it back together so Lola wouldn’t notice! lol
Poor Lola, she never understands why we have to take decorations down….
Feels like it was forever ago at this point but we hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
