Well Easter was only the beginning of moms visit with us! I was spoiled all week with help with the laundry, dishes and best of all help with Lola- mostly the chasing part- thats all we do these days!
It honestly felt like a vacation at home- a staycation!
I can’t remember the last time I sat on my own couch before her visit- that’s sad!
No worries Lola, we don’t mind a bit!
It also helped that my school was on spring break that week so we got two girls days to do…. girl things!!
They started with lazy morning snuggles!!
The to do what we do best shopping with the best of them- Gigi!
Lola found puppies and sowe stood here for about 20 minutes bribing her to please tell the puppy “bye bye’! I will say she is at a new “dear god help me” status while shopping! She now REFUSES to sit in the stroller- at all, refuses to be hed and only wants to walk around, touch everything, greet customers, help the workers use their check outs and my favorite- run out of the store!
Mom and I tried to alternate “ok you watch Lola I will shop” and vice versa but she pretty much just does her thing regardless of who is watching her- Oh Lola!
“Oh no you did not just swipe that card without me”
Mom and I’s only sanity was when Lola found these sweet three kids How is it all three of them don’t need a personal nanny like Lola! Maybe Loa needs a sibling to entertain her!
Is it possible that it’s easier with multiple?!?!?!
At least in August Lola will have a permanent friend! Kayla and I will just have to tailor all of our errands and shopping days to be together so Lola will be entertained!
Speaking of entertainment, Kayla came to meet us (chase Lola) for a little shopping herself and Daddy Lou came to meet us for lunch!
He had technically already eaten at lunch but who can turn down sharing Lola’s macaroni and cheese!!
Daddy headed back to work and we headed home for a nap! Then it was off to get Lolas passport picture! it was the cutest thing ever and so we (I) then declared her new nickname to be Sass.
Girlfriend and Sass- I love it!
Then we were off for a little grocery shopping and Lola now screams at the selection of cheese’s until I give her the goat cheese that i inevitably get on every shopping outing!
Between Lola and I it’s usually nearly gone by the time we leave the store!
Daddy’s home and that can only mean one thing! Hooray for going to feed the quack quacks!
Little Miss refuses for any of us to help her… Wednesday we did a little shopping and dinner with Gigi since it would be our last chance to do so before she headed home!
Thankfully Gigi and i share the love for both stores and restaurants… so Homegoods and Bahama Breeze it is!
We were thankful for Thursday to be home together again! I had a ton to get done and it’s days like this i wonder how in the hell do i work full time- how does anyone? When are you supposed to do random things like taking your car to get serviced?!?
Ay-yi-yi thankfully I have 3 more weeks and then I will no longer be worried about that!
No errand with mom and i ever comes without a squeezed in shopping trip- ok but only for the essentials right Lola?
It was our last day together with mom and we couldn’t have her here a whole week without going to our favorite- cafe 33!!
Little did we know it was “social hour” for lola, no high chair required at lunch today!
Oh Lola if only you knew how many compliments you get when we go places- even other little kids say “aww she is so cute!”
We met daddy back at home after our busy day and big nap to feed the quack quacks and go for a stroll as our last night with Gigi! Lola was so tired, her new thing is sniffing her lovies ear when she’s tired… it the cutest!
Second wind…. we know all about these!
It’s a shame she just has no personality! HA!
I think we are the talk of the neighborhood- our neighbor tell us “no one is going to miss you coming”… why thank you- yes we have a lot of baggage!
Lola is notorious for wanting to take her Cadillac out for a spin and then leaving it in the middle of the road to hop out because well- she’s done! “ Um hello, you guys left my car in the road!”
“Thank you, want to go again?” Lola learned in one week, Gigi doesn’t say no to anything! That’s what Gigi’s are for!
My favorite melt down lately has become this…. you can imagine her intensified anger when i don’t help her yet grab my camera to first take a picture!
Yes, her hand gets stuck in the snack container and sometimes we don’t even notice… other times i get this! It’s pretty hilarious!
As you can see it only last about .5 seconds!
And there you have it- how ever good night ends! Dinner and a book… or 2 or 3 or 5 unit we cut her off!
It’s become our favorite time of day- well i guess it always has been! – she gets so spunky before bed!
I can’t believe we have a 14 month old now! More of our fun weekend celebrating with her to come before this nasty rain came in!
