I absolutely love reflecting on the year at the end of every year! seems like time flies by faster and faster which makes me that much more thankful to have started this blog almost 4 years ago now! So lets begin the re-cap!
*January 2012*
We celebrated Alex turning 27! Mom had a birthday too and celebrated in Atlanta with us at our favorite, Maggianos.. we won’t talk about what number she turned without her permission though!
Rachel found her wedding gown and the bridesmaid dresses!
*February 2012*
Alex got a new job and started working at Exide technologies, my parents couldn’t wait to celebrate!
Baby Avery was born and Julian became a big sister!
We took Julian on a special big girl trip to her an I’s first time at Oatland Island!
We celebrated valentines day with lots of baking… what else!
We had a going away party for Alex’s work buddies at Hughes!
*March 2012*
We met Amanda and Daniels sweet Evelyn Brook and visited with her sweet family!
Celebrated JJ’s engagement!Celebrated another baby to come at Adeolas (oh so adorable)baby shower!
We celebrated Bob’s 60th birthday!
Went to hear my most favorite song. yes song not band, I only know one of them but loved it: “we got us”
Found an amazing realtor and started house hunting!
Threw Andy a beach party theme to Celebrate his last year of his twenties!!
Met up with JJ and Tina to wish farewells to Tina’s temporary move to Utah!
Andrew invited Alex and I to a Formula One car race!
We celebrated Easter with Alex’s family first while enjoying our first beach trip of the year at Hilton Head!
Rachel turned 28 and we celebrated the only way possible… MEXICAN!
Enjoyed visits from Grampa and Grama and the toys they bring us!
*May 2012*
Alex was sent on his first trip with his company to Germany!
We took our most favorite trip of the year to Charleston with our most favorite people!
Alex and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary!
Celebrated Mothers day by sipping on freshly made Pina coladas after a visit to the farmers market!
Tara did a lot of work in Atlanta this month so we got to see her lots and then celebrated her birthday this month too… she too turned 28!
Found some puppy’s to love on!
Julian turned 5 and we celebrated with a pool party!!
*June 2012*
Enjoyed many Saturdays at the pool!
Tailgated at Braves games… and even went in some of them! Kayla and Lance came home before moving to Thailand!
Billy and Angela came home from Philly!
My cousins from Virginia and family from Mississippi came to visit! *July 2012*
Went to Asheville to celebrate Daddy’s birthday a week late!
Spent July fourth in Hilton Head with Alex’s family, Billy and Angela and my favorite girlfriend ever!
Celebrated Ana’s 9th Birthday!
*August 2012*
Amara and Sean threw Andy and Rachel their first Couples Shower!
Enjoyed a co-workers wedding in Jacksonville!
We visited one of our favorite Couples while in Jacksonville, Lauryn and Anthony who were quite the host and hostesses taking us to dinner, bars and kayaking!
Got to visit Grama Leah and reminisce with her a good bit!
Rachel officially Graduated with her Masters Degree!!
Celebrated good friends getting engaged!
Had an impromptu get together with parents, family and friends and grabbed some Mexican at our favorite drag queen restaurant!
Celebrated our 13 year “fate Anniversary” by taking a week day trip to Lake Lanier!
Remembered Adam with brunch at Joe’s on Junipers!
I attended a week long training full of substance abuse and trauma classes in SAVANNAH!
Therefore, also getting to spend lots of fun times with these lovely ladies on River Street!
Finally made an offer and decided on a home in East Cobb near Kennesaw and hiked Kennesaw mountain!
Tara started building her very own home in Statesboro!
*September 2012*
Told two amazing co-workers bye… by being weird and singing oldies together one last time! One Month Count down for these almost newlyweds! Partied it up in Charleston for JJ’s amazing bachelorette party!
Continued the tradition of another years Pig roast!
Stephanie and Joe came to Atlanta and TOOK US to our first Stone Mountain trip.. pathetic I know!
*October 2012*
We celebrated Autumns birthday!
Helped Rachel celebrate being a Bachelorette!
…. and got her all ready for her honeymoon!
Then it was time for the big day, Andy and Rachel tied the knot and we partied all night long claiming them the “funnest wedding throwers ever”- can ya’ll throw another one!?!?!
We eventually closed and moved into our very first home and told a beautiful house that will forever hold sweet memories and be remembered for some great parties good bye!
We were blessed that one last time- for a long time- my parents yet again helped us move into our very own, beautiful, new house on the hill- Milstead!
We’re home owners!
Welcomed our first visitors!
Enjoyed some chili and the door bell ringing all night long with our first Halloween in our new home!
*November 2012*
Attended one of the cutest weddings ever by the cutest couple ever! JJ and Coco tied the knot!!
Visited one of our most favorite places –savannah-to celebrate the marriage of two very sweet people- Lauryn and Michael! Enjoyed seeing our sweet “so not babies anymore” while watching Ana perform at the nutcracker!
Celebrated Thanksgiving with my family in Asheville and had the BEST time!
While there we visited the Biltmore- my first time!
*December 2012*
We started the last month of the year off the best way we knew how… celebrating my birthday!
… and it couldn’t have been more special with these two lovers coming to visit me!
Alex went on his second trip to Germany for work and to PARIS!
Billy came to visit me while Alex was gone and we had the best week of baking, eating and shopping!
STEPHANIE AND JOE GOT ENGAGED!
… and I’m going to be a bridesmaid!!!!
I was excited to host Minnicks’ Family Christmas again this year BUT in our new home and had THE BEST time baking and decorating in preparation for it!
Then headed to Statesboro to Celebrate Christmas at home!
Merry Christmas Love the Minnicks’ family!
Celebrated New Years in our new home with fabulous friends and family at the St. Regis!
WOW! At where a year has gotten us! I could not be more thrilled with the way 2012 turned out, full of ever lasting memories! Cheers to a new year full of new sweet memories!
