Alex and I saw one of the most beautiful weddings, gorgeous bride and happiest couples get married in Savannah on Orleans square last weekend and we could not be more happy for them!
Here comes the bride!
The Higgins have been close family friends of ours since they moved here from Kentucky when we were all in middle school and Mr. Higgins has now walked both of his daughters down the isle to marry great men in Georgia!
The married couples first wedding since being married!
We contemplated switching dates for the night but Andy was just too feisty for me to keep up with ;)
Oh yes, Lou wouldn’t have been able to keep up with Rachel anyway…. Back to your positions people!
That’s better!
Ah Ha, a good one!!
Mom literally had us cracking up… we’re running late- through cobblestone in heels- literally running, mom got stuck UNDER a fence right next to the ceremony site not realizing we were right next to the ceremony site so she begins to YELL “JEN, HELP, JEN, I NEED HELP!” while i continue to run towards the ceremony site to beat the bride down the isle and pretend i don’t know who mom is…. Alex literally is back and forth running with me to the ceremony and then turning around to help mom again and again…. completely undecided as to who to listen to!
Thanks for the good laugh mom! The Minnicks’ in Blue!
Is this not the prettiest setting, how could we not take a few of ourselves right?!?!?
the reception was a short walk to the Hyatt and was absolutely beautiful!!
I just had to take a picture of Rachels place setting.. oops! I mea Mrs. Minnicks! ;)
The next morning Alex and I got ready and headed to Hilton Head to surprise Ana and see her in the Nutcracker!
I wish I had recorded her coming to the door… I heard a “O-M-G” (not to be confused with “Oh my god”) being yelled from inside the house when she saw me standing outside the door!
After waiting a little while outside the door… I had to yell to her “Okay Ana now open the door”, I think she got a bid side tract during all the excitement! So we enjoyed our lunch and headed to the ballt for Ana to get all ready in her candy cane costume!
I think I must have been one lucky girl that day because as ana was behind the stage performing I got to spend time with my other sweetie pie Julian who met us there to watch it with us!
My favorite girls!
Ana is on the right (his left)!
My girl; A candy cane this year!
Ana did SUCH a good job and remembered every move (I’m not too familiar with the ballet lingo but guessing“moves” is probably wrong terminology?)!
Either way I was SOOOOOO proud of her!
How beautiful is this child!?!?!
Ana was in the Nutcracker twice this year so the grandparents took turns to come visit and watch her performance, this time was Tim’s parents turn to see her!
The cute Thaller family! When I picked Ana up she ran to her room to get dressed and threw this outfit on… then added the boots… I literally thought she grabbed it from my closet a few years back!
Ok lets be honest, my closet now!
Shu was so well behaved during the entire 3 hour performance! She sat in my lap the entire time and i loved it but I’m hoping next year we can have her in it!
Don’t you just Love Shu’s ballerina shoes!?!?!
We quickly said our goodbyes and hit the road back to Atlanta… But not before making one very IMPORTANT last stop!
Tara closed on her house!!
We ran over there to unload some things and check out her new pad.. it’s gorgeous!
Tara voted that me helping her grab things to bring in the house to be most important but I was more persistent in her having this very important moment documented…….duh!
Don’t you love the big butcher block bar that over looks the family room and open floor plan?!?!? Love it Tay and so happy for you!!
