We headed down to Mom and dads on Thursday to bring them the grandpups and off to Hilton Head we went!
I was soo eager to get in the sun and relax on the beach but unfortunately Friday was full of wind, rain and coldness… so to the outlets we went!
That night we got to go out with Alexs dad, Jane an Uncle Walt to Hurricane Bar which had the bes heated patio tables!! So nice! My cousing Stephanie and David were in town and kid free so we lived the night up with them and had the best time catching up and “bar hoping” ;)
I wish I had taken pictures but it was cold, rainy and we all bought/borrowed last minute granny clothes to cuddle up in so i decided to spare us all the embarrassment!
Saturday was sunny and windy but that was not stopping us, to the beach we went!
Let me just say if you ever lay out and it’s windy so you freeze the whole time and think I’m not getting any sun… YOU ARE WRONG! You are still getting sun and should wear sunscreen!
Lou got quite FRIED and it only got worse the next day… more of that to come!
Mom and dad had been busy bee’s remodeling the condo and it looked sooo good!! On top of everything else, mom of course had all of our favorite snacks, breakfast items, drinks, alcoholic beverages including champagne and Easter decorations waiting for us!
Spoiled*
Jane had us over for an early Easter dinner that was amazing, i can still taste the pasta sauce… mmmmmmmmmmmm! Best part was seeing Avery and Julian in their Easter Outfits!
She has the cutest most sincere faces… unlike her grandpa…
Pretty girl, she is such a loving big sister.. Jane asked if she wanted to leave Avery with them when she went home and she replied “no because i want to see baby Avery every day!”
Julian was so excited to have Easter presents to open early!
That night we got home and realized just how much of alex’s burn had set in… when it comes to health issues he is the worst, he worries sooo much so i usually try to under worry so to keep him from panic mode but i couldn’t lie, it was bad!
The next day was wayyyy to pretty to waste though and it was Easter Sunday, we had already seen an “Easter Bunny” so we were feeling to good to not get a little more fresh air even if he had to cover up the whole time!
“It’s okay Jen, I’m fine, I will just cover up”
We brought a big umbrella for him to sit under to keep from getting more burned but he thought that was only for losers or parents with kids… I guess the above picture is him being “cool”? I told him we could totally pass for pretending like we had kids.. “they were just down playing in the water”…. I brought enough stuff for the two of us it sure looked like we had kids with us… (I have Kern in me)!
He still refused but what a good sport he was until I got all my rays and we packed up to go to my moms for Easter Dinner and to pick up the babies!
Alex’s mom and Mike worked most of the weekend but we stopped by to catch up before they hit the bed one night and again on the way home from the beach… I wanted to get some pictures of these guys but they were so far away… Until i walked to the barn (which they associate with food) I found cheetos to give them and they came RUNNING- literally!
Julie Mud Pie wasn’t to good at fighting her way in to get the cheeto’s so i gave her some extra attention after the others got tired of me :)
We made it to mom and dads for dinner and how cute did she have everything set up?.?.? ?
Ridiculous!
She made her lamb pound cake which was amazing and coconut grass around it, pund cake cupcakes and chocolate covered retzels with egg shaped springles….
Alex’s response… she needs grand kids!
Agreed!
Guess your never too old for the Easter Bunny to come visit!
Happy belated Easter everyone, Rachel’s birthday festivities are coming soon which is inclusive of our FAVORITE new mexican restaurant! Yes, we had to find a new one after finding out our old one scored a 44 (sanitation grade) via the news during an undercover bust! Ew.
