This sassy pants and I could not WAIT for our Christmas company to arrive!!
We hit up the grocery one more time (or so we thought) and went home with….. well, nothing.
No literaly she ate her lunch at the grocery complete with utensils and napkins thanks to the produce section and even made this pouty face at the check out for another ladys muffin….
Girl knows how to work a crowd, I mean seriously, look at that lip. The lady (whose muffin it was) made the cashier hurry up and scan them so she could open them up and give Lola one…
I can’t make this stuff up!
I will say she has pretty much eaten whatever she wants for brekfst the week of Christmas….
Some days sprinkles, other days cookies.
What can I say? We’re suckers.
This also meant that the gifts started and lasted all week long… especially after we all got together nd realized “oh shit, we all bought too much stuff and there is not enough wrapping paper in the world to wra this amount of presents…
That’s not even including our over board nanny/coach Ms. Brittany who played Santa Claus on christmas Eve Eve….
Monograms glore, a trampoline, a new water bottle AND presents for mommy.
That girl doesn’t know how to NOT go overboard…
Oh how we love her…. and chocolate… did we mention we love chocolate!
So christmas Eve came and there was A LOT to get done!
I wantd to just paue that day and repeat it about three more times… I wanted to enjoy it and do nothing, I wanted to enjoy it and do everything.
We comprimised and did a little bit of both!
Lola and I decided first things first… Make Santa some fresh cookies and then go visit him one last time!
Ok so visiting him one last time was my idea… wishful thinking.
It may be Christmas Eve nd we have 6 outfits with tas still on them we havn’t even had a chance to wear yet and what does se ear on Christmas eve… Nothing.
Absolutely nothing but a Chrsitmas tree headband and lovie.
Lola had a delivery requeest from Poppy and thankfully he sn’t known for being picky…. his cookie fell (and broke) about 3 times before it finally made it’s way too him…
Our little chef…
Then it was Ho Ho time and we bribed her with the park because this time Santa was at her favorite place ever… the square!
The truth is we didn’t have to bribe her at all… she was still super excited to see him we did however get a “ughhhhhh” everytime we mentioned sitting in his lap….
We ended up being put in the very front of a line that had a bit of a wait to see Santa so we took turns waiting… phtoshoot…. waiting, coffee run…waiting….cookies etc.
Lola returned to me with a cookie bigger than her head and was the happiest little girl on the planet!
At least it made her happy for pictures!
Ok Lola its time to go see Santa….’'
Say What!?!?!
Round two was pretty horrific as expected but at least the Santa looked better (and he was SO sweet!)!
I think we all deserved a little cheese dip after that!
Then it was time to head home for PARTY TIME!!!
Lola always loved to feed her B!
We lost track of time a bit but eventually got our jams on, took one last pre Christmas picture and then it was time for The Night Before Christmas!
I absolutely DIED over Lolas new thing she started doing just before bed… wait until the very end you see a little head tilt aong with “sure”!
Sweet dreams my love!
We learned to say “presents will be here in the morning” instead of “Santa Clause is coming tonight!”…. you can imagine.
Then we like to say the “after party” started!
The presents looked so cute for about the first hour….. then we started throwing shit in bags and LITERALLY fighting over who got the bags versus wrapping paper….
Lou finished the activity table for Lola just in time!!
Here is our “Before”…
Our after incudes re-arranging the furniture about ten times to make it all fit….
think we started saying about 2:15 we were all done and going to bed…. Alex and didn’t actually go to bed until about 4:15!!
Being Santas helper is no joke!
I still couldn’t believe the niht was finally here… it seems like just yesterday we put on her very first pair of Christmas Pajamas the night of her first Thanksgiving… Here we are about to celebrate her SECOND Christmas…
Merry Christmas Eve little one!
