I don’t think I have talked about anything but weddings since our 6 month check up and here we are getting ready for our 7 month one so here’s 6 months and a up close look at nesting fever!
We love getting to hear that hyper little girls heartbeat!
Mom says I am definitely going to have my hands full… I agree, we decided this is a good thing though. We suspect her to be loud and “busy” like her mama but at least we will never have to “guess” what’s on her mind ;)
Lola your mom thinks you should hurry up and come because your dad might build a whole new house by the time you get here if not!
He has been so busy working on your nursery, the yard, re-painting the hallways and most weekends (that we aren’t at a wedding) he forgets to sit down until we crash around 2am!
I think the hardest part about getting dressed when your pregnant is those “lounging days”… I can pull an outfit together like it’s nobody’s business when I have somewhere to go but if we are home all day or just running to the store (usually Home Depot) I look like a walking catastrophe! Who buys new maternity lounge wear though seriously!?!!? So you just find random stuff that essentially “fits” and throw it together! This is usually no big deal unless you have a husband like mine who doesn’t even want to go in the front yard with out me “coming along” and “watching”….. so our neighbors get quite the show…..
Can you see my stripes and cheetah print i put on for that day?!?!
Come to think of it i don’t know what the neighbors think is more of the eye sore…. between me looking like a hot pregnant mess in cheetah print outfits and Alex throwing ropes with wrenches tied to the end of them up trees to hang from with his rock climbing equipment…. oh yes and let’s not forget to mention his chain saw hanging down from his waist by Tuckers leash…..
I guess we do bring the value of the neighborhood down a bit.
Class I tell ya.
Lets move this part inside shall we?
If only we could count how many breaks we took to console milly, she hates change and just when she was getting used to the idea of that room not being grama and grampa’s room it’s changing again!
I hope you get your preciseness from your daddy Lola, he has to make sure everything in your room is PERFECT.
Unless you decide to be a counselor like Mommy and that whole perfectionist thing will have to go out the window or you will never last my dear ;)
Don’t say I never taught ya anything!
Your mom loves you but if it was up to her she would have taken a good look, an estimated guess and nailed it up!
Oh yeah Lola in case you ever wonder, your name is spelled next to mommy’s on the back of each piece of bead board your daddy put up :) I think he likes us!
Just wait until you meet us to judge us Lola, I know we probably seem super annoying and smothering of you already but we really aren’t normally this bad… except when we get excited (which you will come to find… we get excited about everything) and you have made us extra VERY excited!!
Not that I plan on that to lessen, so come to think of it just brace yourself at least for your first year of life…. I guess we will be pretty annoying!
If its any consolation, your grandparents, aunts and uncles are just as bad moms friends….
This is how we had to travel home from the wedding last weekend after getting the rest of your stuff from our first shower….
Oh yes.
Your mom had to comfort these two who thought for sure they would be left since your 2 pound little self “took up all the room”.
I’m still loving the sight of this… presents on my doorstep!! Billy and Angela are some of the worst at spoiling this little girl from afar!
Last night was so much fun, I have always loved Halloween and it’s more fun now that we live in a neighborhood we can actually get trick or treater’s but let me tell you, when I say I can not wait for next year….. I CAN’T WAIT!
Lola will be 9 months old!!
I left my school on Halloween to go home and prepare for our trick or treater’s and could not help but smile when i saw this gorgeous tree!
Please excuse our mess of leaves below….. Lou came home from work early to blow off the front yard for the kids and around here you pick one or the other. Front yard won so back yard will look like a foreclosed house until this weekend!
He did make a bon fire for our last Halloween at home though!
We are READY!
I don’t know what was scarier answering the door to kids in scream masks or coming to the door and having Tucker and Milly on “duty”….. we soon decided TJ and mill could “play” outside.
Chili, pumpkin candles and candy… Halloween dinner is served! Milly loves when the lights go off and doorbell stops ringing, time to devour the “leftovers”….
My moving (literally) belly has certainly become the best late night attraction for everyone… except Tuck of course. I can now see it move on the outside of my skin!
Mom still loves you Tuck, Lola will just be our “surprise” to you when she gets here!
Last night Lola gave her daddy a high five!
And a few nights ago Lola was super “busy” and Milly fell asleep holding my belly. I think it was the sweetest thing I had ever seen!
We hope to get more done to her nursery this weekend but it is looking really good so far! More than anything I’m thinking we deserve a weekend of relaxing!
Happy Friday!
