Can you tell Fall is in the air!?!?!?
I am absolutely so excited and have been eagerly awaiting fall!
As my co-worker says it’s just my ulterior motives to get closer to meeting Lola (she’s right) but still FALL is the best season ever!
I pulled out “all” of my fall decorations and noticed…. I don’t have any! then I realized, we are coming up on our one year anniversary of moving into our home and I believe last year since we had just moved in I just went straight to Christmas decorations instead of fall… coming from a tiny two bedroom home I forget how many more decorations you need for each holiday! I mean wouldn’t it be terrible to just have a “few” fall decorations… people would be like “OMG there is a spider on your mantel” and you would have to explain “no, that’s actually a decoration”.
Ok so maybe in this picture I am not really showing off my new fall placemats that mom got me which i really do LOVE…. but something else on the table!
Oh “Hi there LolA!”
Yes, we love eating dinner with you as a family every night Lola girl, you can’t start them too early right!?!
Speaking of dinner, did you know the best “dinners” can be found at the FAIR!?!?!
A couple weeks ago the North Georgia State fair was held right here in Marietta and the three of us could not WAIT to get in there to see our “dinner options”!
We were on a very SERIOUS mission….
I would say the four of us but Lou doesn’t really count since he doesn’t really know how to enjoy and devour fair food like us women do. Oh Men.
We let him tag along anyway ;)
He was so funny on the way to the fair, he had 30$ in cash which is a BIG DEAL for Lou and I who never have ANY cash… Tara and Cara wanted to stop at the ATM on the way to the fair to get out cash and “Mr. generous” is all like “oh I have some Tara, I will give you some”… We kindly informed him he could keep his 30$ and that we would all be spending atleast 30$ on ourselves in funnel cakes, cotton candy, boiled peanuts, icee’s, lemonades, hot dogs, corn dogs, cheeseburgers, cheese covered fries etc..
He didn’t believe us until we got THERE!
Geez we are fatty’s!
The first thing we saw when we got there was a huge ski lift that Alex declared was a permanent structure there by “safe” to go on and not put up for the week by the carnies so we all pilled on and it turned out to be the most strategic way to plan our next junk food stop since it went over the entire length of the fair!
oh yeah and what a pretty view!
We were taking notes of our food stops the whole time we were up there but it ended up dropping us off right at the petting zoo!
So we got a little side tract!
Back to business! Sugar shack….Tara even strategically planned which items she could bring home (can we write this off as a company expense for dinner)?
Lola says enough is enough mommy!
But we hadn’t even gotten the funnel cakes yet!?!?!
Notice i can even get situated to eat it before these people are taking it from me!
The exhibit booth had possibly the COOLEST thing ever…
Call me a weirdo BUT… look at the babies!!
I think it was an anti-abortion clinic because had they displayed babies for you to hold and you could see what the actual size of the baby was depending on the week they are in your womb!
Is this not the neatest thing ever!?!!??!
That’s’ the size of baby Lola at 20 week and I was 20 weeks in the picture, how sweet!
You can imagine the endless Snapchat possibilities at the fair right!?!?! I mean fried Oreos and deep fried Kool aid!?!?!
So we decided to continue our “ethnic experience” while Tara was in town and ventured out to a Jamaican restaurant that was SOOO GOOD! Lou was in Heaven there and Tara and I were pretty much entertained (and entertaining billy) with the little grocery shop next to it!
We took about 30 minutes to pick out our “juice” for the night!
we are such dare devils I know, I think Rachel won the dar devil name though….. Her’s was home made.
Yowzers!
Oh and I did mention Tara was in town right?
Can you tell?!?!
We were busy little bee’s between going to garage sales, craigslist buys, Goodwill finds and of course what’s a weekend without a few trips to home depot!
Is she a genius or what!?!?!
Lou’s basement was our focus of the week while Tara was here, can you believe we found these couches for about $90 together- score!
Maybe for our one year anniversary in the house I will get some good before and after pictures for the blog finally!?!?!
We will be working on Lolas room some more this weeknd and Milly has been so upset about all the changes since Lolas room is the room mom and dad used to sleep in when they come. I thought she would be better once they came to visit and she realized they would still come they would just sleep in another room…. No such luck! She is still so upset, she has gotten into the trash weekly and I find her sitting in Lolas room all by herself daily! Bless her heart.
Here are some of the guilt trip faces she gave mom and dad when we tried to leave her while they were in town… I know Milly we are terrible parents.
Mom actually entertains it, I have learned the words “Milly your fine”.
Thank you TJ for being our easy boy! Either way they both have Grama wrapped around their little paws! Another indicator that fall is right around the corner…..Last weekend was the Pig roast at Alex’s mom and mikes house and the boys were in Heaven!
Picking out their girls on the poster to “shoot”. Macho, Macho!
How gangster are these boys! I just had to take their picture!
So gangsta! Guess who talked Grama and Grampa into bringing him to the party!?!?!?!
Tucker Jones made his appearance to the pig roast this year and was so well behaved, he didn’t even mind not getting to run around off of his leash with the “big kids”!
The day of the pig roast, September 28th was also a very special day for us because it was TJ’s 8 year anniversary since being with with Lou and I!
I swear Shu bear looks just like a baby doll, that face and those eyes look like a vintage baby doll!
Pop quiz time: What do you see in this picture?
this little kid has a hamburger and believe me, she stopped dead in her tracks to make her way over to him… I think he gave her the entire thing. Literally.
I know your tricks Mildred.
Speaking of other little girls who love their mama (nice try right, hey she does sometimes!) guess who decided to be miss social butterfly at the pig roast this year?!?!?!
little Miss baby Avery!
I swear it just came out of no where, she clung to Amber the whole time and after about an hour i saw her leave the porch walking alone went up to a group of strangers (Mikes work friends we had never met) grab a lady’s hand int he middle of her talking and walk off with her around the farm in circles for about an hour!
Then she decided we could all hold her and play with her too!
I’m not sure how you have a child and then get pregnant again and “follow the rules” as soon as I saw Shu Bear I forgot the “don’t life heavy objects” and picked her up!
How can you resist, look at this sweet girl!
Hi there little miss green eyes!
Milly again spotted the little boy with the cheeseburger…. picture time was over!
The next day was more sunshine and shooting!
Celebrating 22 weeks this day, 5 in a half month down 4 and a half more to go to meet our girl! Pretty exciting stuff huh daddy!
Lou loved my shirt because he said he could “see” Lola better so I made him take a belly pic with me to show her off!
I think it’s a tie???
We put the guns up and guess who came back to see us….
Daddy and his toys…
It didn’t take long for mom and I to get bored with their “tinkering” around so we found more photo opportunities….
The pups make great photo sessions… kinda. TJ thought we were making a movie and not a photo… maybe a photo book would work though TJ?
All done rolling? Oh wait one more…
Milly came to see what all the commotion was about and to see why she wasn’t being asked to “smile for mom”.
Jackie learned quickly from TJ….
Shortly after the rolling sessions ended TJ was on to the next… if anyone has any extra ADD meds laying around we would love to take them off your hands ;) I think it’s a really good thing TJ is naturally “good” because when it comes to listening to me or being good and doing or not doing something because i asked him to he could care less!
“TJ don’t get in that water. TJ are you in the water? Mama just said don’t go in the water. You have to ride home like that! fine ugh you looks so cute moms going to take your picture ok.”
Ok your turn my little muffin top pitt mix!
Oh really your going to roll like TJ and Jack? Busted!
Milly hates to look like she is enjoying anything those two enjoy… she is so stuck up it’s ridiculous!
Milly wants to know why mom keeps getting pictures taken of her belly and no one ask to take pictures of her belly….
Pretty belly Mills, I know you and Grampa work hard on those Bellys!
Big hopes for the house projects this weekend before another few weekends out of town for weddings and my first BABY SHOWER!
Does it really fly by like this for everyone!?!?!?
Happy Fall!!
