I really do not want these two items to share a blog entry but what the hell… let’s just say they ARE BOTH UNBELIEVABLE and I honestly couldn’t be happier for both the wedding actually taking place and my shower already being here so lets go for it!
Yup this kid really did do it, he got hitched!
Here he is with his new pride and Joy, no not blaine….the wagon. It’s his most cherished early wedding “present” from Lance’s parents!!
He could not wait for us to get there to take Alex for a ride in it… The thing is missing two windows on the passenger side and literally bounces up and down like a carnival ride!
Us girls “let” the boys ride together to the rehearsal dinner and we followed behind them which was the scariest thing ever! They were jumping curbs and off roading like it was a dirt bike! We thought we had seen it all but it got worse….
The boys pulled up beside a poor innocent victim (girl) in a honda and start yelling out the “spot where a window would be” to her while the car is literally bouncing up and down SEVERLY!
I wish i had taken a video of it and I REALLY wish Michael and Blaine had driven off in it after the wedding :(
That wasn’t the only eventful moment the night of rehearsal… apparently their were two rehearsal dinners going on at the same time that night and we were directed to the wrong one by the hostess…. before realizing it yet after introducing ourselves to a wonderful host… Andy signed the “memory plate” with a permanent marker! He got out “And” before i realized we were int he wrong place and could yell to stop him…. he made our getaway out the back and finally found our crew!
Funniest part was realizing they too did the same thing!
Do not call DFCS. what you see below is fake but I’m convincing right!?!?!
The next day we were pumped but really in shock.
The kid really is getting married!
…. and these two are a week shy of celebrating one year!
Then you have us and baby Lola being loud and proud! You just have to love Michaels belt buckle!?! Happy to be in jeans and no tuxes!
I love this one but i don’t know where lance keeps disappearing to! Girls turn!
Wedding time…. could she be any more stunning!?!?
It’s official, Lance is more stubborn about taking pictures than Alex (sorry Kayla)! Then you have Andy who is as bad as me about loving them! I LOVE this one!
Oh Hi there Lola, I had promised Rachel a kick for the weekend but I forget who is in charge sometimes…..
The best present of all…. Michaels title to the wagon!!
(Stolen pics form Michaels table cameras)
Honestly, it was a beautiful wedding and the weather could not have been more perfect! Blaine was gorgeous as always and these two are perfect for each other!
Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness you two!
Sunday was a much awaited day… well i say that even though it came and went in the blink of an eye!
Lolas’s first baby shower!! Talk about being showered with love and thoughtfulness….. there is no topping this shower! I walked in and instantly thought…. call southern living this shower should be published in a magazine!!
Tara told me I make sure I call before just walking in the house….
I had no idea it was because the house was DECORATED in MY presents… ridiculous is an understatement!
Mom and Tara made quite the team, Tara painted this armoire and crib for me, mom made the wreath and refinished my bassinet from when I was little and found the good deals on line that Tara re-finished!
I owe it all to the sweet hostesses, I literally could not have asked for a better, sweeter more personalized shower EVER!
I know you girlies all worked your buts off to pull this together and with Tara’s never ending “oh we could do this too” I’m sure you were all exhausted!
I even heard Tara made home made candles with baby bottles in them…. sure why not!
Honestly though, look at the details of everything!
These were my old clothes from when I was a baby :) Lola’s owl diaper cake… this was so cute I didn’t even realize it was made out of diapers!
Good job Gina and Mrs. Dale!
This table was so cute, filled with my baby pictures and Mom apparently already bought every first ornament ever needed for her ;) Oh yeah and would you look at the pink shoes in the glass jar! I mean really! How cute!?!?!
Tara’s drink station…. with owl name tags!
I walked in and said “omg these name tags are so cute they look like cara”… Cara responded with “How did you know, i made them!” Too funny!
Then you have my talented baker who will very possibly need to be recruited for Lola’s birthdays…. Stephanie is so talented!
Aren’t these flowers the perfect touch? I “recycled” them from Michaels wedding the night before, they were our center piece!
I am so lucky to call these talented girlies my friends and lovers :)
Presents time! I think Stephanie has a ton of pictures of all my “awwww” presents 9thats literally what each of us said as I opened each present!
Alex and I are honestly so grateful to everyone who helped put this shower together and everyone who came and showered us with gifts, love, advice and encouragement to prepare us for Lola’s arrival!
Alex was texting me the whole shower making sure i told everyone how much he too appreciated their support… he was so funny because he was torn as to how to show his appreciation for “his” baby yet leave it a “girls” shower!
So we decided he should drop me off and walk me in to make some rounds thanking everyone for being there and then come a little early to help clean up and pack up to thank more people, it worked out well! Especially since we ended up needing him for a last minute errand runner!
Picture time!
I look like a giant, and lost the heels soon after this picture!
These two need a gold medal… or a chair and a cocktail as mom prefers!
Just like old times, loves these ladies!
Never try to be in a picture with Tina is Alex is in charge of taking the picture…. actually you should just never let Alex take your pictures! Everything is a game!Love this one!
I had to show him my diaper cake!Time to load up…. a third of it at least!
“How in the hell are we going to fit?” Good thing we are going back home next weekend with a trailer to bring it all back to Atlanta!Best shower ever and I can’t wait to hang this wreath on our front door when we finally bring home our very own baby girl!
It’s been a super busy few weeks for Lou with work being crazy busy and the rest of us anxiously awaited him to “come back to life”! So after we all patiently waited night after night watching Lou stay up late to work and get up early to do it all over again all while working night and day the last few weekends it finally happened….
We got him back!!
For now at least, but we will take what we can! This weekend we worked like crazy in the yard trimming bushes and trees, getting Lola’s room ready and more painting projects! More of that to come! It’s so nice to have him back and all to myself!
Thanks for giving him a break GE, this mama is growing and has an even faster growing “honey do list”!
Happy 25 weeks to an ever growing Lola and one year anniversary of being in our first home!
