Wow, did this blog get forgotten about or what! I contribute it to the pain killers, 5 days of lifetime movies and 6 boxes of gauze… Yup, I’m healing from an oral surgery that’s just been way too much fun!!
Anyway this blog has been found but is a bit outdated since I wrote it right after we got back from St. Patricks day and today is Easter!!
So Happy Easter everyone and please Enjoy what our St. Patricks day looked like since our Easter hasn’t looked like much of anything besides these few pics I snapped after getting out of bed for the first time!
Exciting right!?!?!
Ok, On to St. Patty’s Day weekend!
That picture is enough to make me want to pack up and head right back!
Oh yeah, so is this one..
…. and not just because my favorite girlies are in it but because it’s at El som- duh!
Did I mention we happen to come home on this guys birthday and little did he know his wife was re-arranging his birthday plans to come see me! Poor Josh!
He joked about his silly birthday goodies but i think the best present every was probably the fact that they were leaving two days later for HAWAII!
The next morning we had planned to rush off to the parade in Savannah but honestly the sunshine, mom’s breakfast and just being home sounded much more appealing at the time!
Tucker has never been very good about riding in the gold cart and due to his hip he isn’t allowed to run with the golf cart but for some reason this time he hopped in the golf and was completely content the whole time we rode around!
It was such a relief to be able to do that with him and for him to be able to enjoy himself!
We found a field of the prettiest grass and Tucker was sooo jealous of Milly getting to go TT all over it so we decided to stop and let him sniff around…. then we noticed a deer stand and the nice beautiful grass being a wonderful little trap for the sweet deer so back in the gold cart we go for Tucker Jones!
He looks way too much like a deer to be walking around in that!
Tucker and Milly were so cute watching Jackson swim in the pond, you could tell they were “asking permission” though because they kept looking at him and looking at me seeing if they could get in…
I eventually caved and we let Tucker out and in they went!
Milly is getting much braver in water but Tucker still only goes where he can reach, i thought the water would be good for his hip but i guess he is scared he wont be able to swim enough to stay a float if he goes where he can’t reach so he stayed near the shore!
We gave them their appropriate “outside dog” bath and talked mom into going to Savannah with us to get our dosage of green in!
We were off and I was ready (btw these are my real nails, first time I have EVER seen them this long)!
I was always one who preferred Bay Street and beyond instead of River Street for St. Patty’s day but we had to take mom to the real deal just to get the idea!
It was a mad house!Crazy us went there thinking we would sit down and eat somewhere, out first stop was a seafood place with a 6 hour wait…. 6 hours!?!?!?!? Um no thank you!
We couldn’t leave just yet though, I needed my full dose of “green”!
Well I think we got it: A man in a green Tutu, green fountain and a Leprechaun!
Yes Lou, that means we can head back home now – mom and I need a drink after all of that anyway! ( cutie)
What troopers i brought with me! What a day, mom and I were so exhausted after that and in desperate need of a drink and pedicures!
The next day Alex I went over to his moms and the weather could not have been better!
Alex got right to work helping Mike throw these “habitats” in for the baby fish to hide in so the bigger fish weren’t able to eat them! Charlie is always my love and most favorite one to see when i go out there! He’s so content as long as he’s with people or animals he loves- key word is WITH!
Mike was so excited and confident when Alex told him about his job interview the next week with the aeronautical company... Alex was a bit worried because most of the guys up there have their PHD’s but Mike was there with his words of encouragement: “I have a sneaky suspicion you’ll outshine them”
Alex’s mom was so excited to show him her almost finished product of her old mustang!
So he was eyeing it to go for a ride and I was eying Chip to take me for a ride! Saddle up Chip!
I even let Lou borrow my ride ! Savy is really my girl when it comes to the horses but Karen doesn’t trust her to ride so I take safety over friendships! Sorry Savy!
I think this one is my absolute favorite picture of Chip! Mrs. Karen and her lover boy!No trip to Statesboro is complete without some shooting for Lou and my mamas home cooking!
She served an entire meal of soft foods for me! I swear she loves a challenge meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole and deviled eggs!
What an amazing trip! Now that I’m looking back on it (while being on a liquid diet) I’m envious of my days when I could eat soft foods! To think I thought that was bad! Err!
I better go to bed before I start craving yummy foods!
Hope everyone had a happy Easter!
