January:
Adam turned 30 and the family celebrated with him at Mill House followed by a night of dancing where he was the star of the show! We had our first big snow!
Alex turned 26 and we celebrated with our first ski trip in Gatlinburg! February:
We met Thomas and his sweet mommy and daddy for a picnic!
Celebrated with Monkey Joe as Kailey turned 3!!
Visited with family as much as possible!
We played hooky on valentines day to be with the ones we love :)
March:
Welcomed the Start of Spring!
Had our first big cook out..
Enjoyed my entire family under one roof!
Enjoyed lazy days with my snuggle bug!
Fell in love with Ormsbys [photo booth]!
Re-lived college days :)
We celebrated Amara’s 36th birthday with a home-style meal!
April:
Celebrated Easter with mom and dad at our house and made cookies and cupcakes for the nursing home and my sweet patient!
Refurbished our glider!
Went Zip lining for Rachels Birthday!
Had a cookout for Andy and Rachels and Lances duo celebration!
Had several depressing good-bye lunches with Shannon, Ali and Adeola before graduating!
Cleaned out my desk and said goodbye and thank you to Grady for the ever lasting memories! We then celebrated my last day of Grady..
As you can see my husband was a bit more excited than me! May:
Graduated with my Masters in Social Work!
Said goodbye to an inspiring patient and deeply loved friend*
Celebrated our graduation and 2 year anniversary with a cruise to Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Martine
Enjoyed a couples weekend in Hilton Head with our favorite crew!
Spent Mothers day at the beach with Julian, Amber , Bob & Jane!
Alex ordered his “first round” of …..circuits! (?)
Enjoyed the last bit of our lunch breaks together before joining the working world!
Julian turned 4!!
June:
I took my first solo/without Lou flight to New Orleans for a work training but thankfully mom joined me and we made an amazing girls trip!
Tara brought my babies, Ana and Alex to come visit and to go to Six flags!
Celebrated Daddy’s Birthday with a Braves game!
July:
Spent July 4th with these fine people!
Lauren and Grams came to visit us in Atlanta!
(Milly always prides herself in thinking guest come specifically to visit her… no, she isn’t narcissistic at all.)
Cheered away at more braves games!
Had a hell of a time trying to go rafting, typical good idea gone wrong :)
August:
Lou and I spent the longest amount of time apart EVER when Lou found out he was going to Chihuahua Mexico :(
I was saved by mama as usual who spent every moment with me… tears, shopping sprees, margaritas and all!
Thank goodness for the 3 of them, Rachel, Kayla and Mom!
I spent some girl time in Hilton Head!
Lou flew home early only to endure the hardest week of our life… Telling Adam goodbye.
September:
Alex’s mom came up for the weekend with Julian and Amber and we enjoyed a family outing to the Aquarium!
Went a bit over board at the Farmers Market with pumpkin decorating!
A good idea of roller blading in Piedmont Park gone wrong….
which ended in the ER and a week of this!
We ended the month with a bang…
Andy and Rachel got engaged!!
So we met them at Ecco for a engagement celebration!
October:
Halloween was in full swing around here and I couldn’t wait for the Little Five Points parade!
We hosted Autumns Birthday Party!
Headed to Statesboro to join Lauren and Renee for their Birthday Party! Went out to celebrate becoming an LMSW!
Enjoyed my favorite part of Fall- Festivals!
November:
Andy and Rachel got a new addition, baby Luther!
Alex and I at his third work holiday party!
Billy came home for Thanksgiving and the boys played with their guns ALL DAY LONG!
Enjoyed round one of Thanksgiving with a beautiful view for in Hilton Head!
Had a farewell El Som date to wish Kayla and Lance well on their big move to Kansas City :(
December:
(A busy month!)
Decorated the house to the fullest… as always!
Baked and baked and baked some more… and Hosted Minnicks Family Christmas year 2!
Celebrated my birth-week to the fullest!
Went out with co-workers for our Christmas Party!
Sent out our Christmas cards!
Made our rounds with Christmas in Statesboro!
Hit the roads, CB’s and all the day after Christmas for a family Road trip to New Jersey!
And Finally, we ended the year playing tourist for a few days in New York City!
Wow, what a year, good times, hard times, proud times and happy times! We had no idea just exactly what 2011 had planned for us but we are so thankful to have made it through yet another year strong, happy and in good health!! Happy New year, cheers to 2012!
